Learning to take care of myself has given me insight on the bigger things that it involves. I taught a class for our team last night, and honestly every single thing I researched and taught to everyone was new and much needed for myself!
When we think #selfcare
we think maybe a 💅 mani & pedi, facial mask 🧖🏻♀️, something to make us look pretty, and while all those are part of self care, they only makeup a part of it.
Here’s what I learned 👉🏼there are five dimensions of self care.
1️⃣PHYSICAL - involves our health, fitness and wellness habits, as well as looking good, taking care of your physical aspect.
2️⃣INTELECTUAL - personal growth, keep growing!
3️⃣SOCIAL- surrounding yourself with positive people that care for you.
4️⃣SPIRITUAL - involving your beliefs and values and growing in them every day.
5️⃣EMOTIONAL - our mental health is crucial. ✨There is more to self care than just pretty things. It’s not selfish to put ourselves first, we need to if we want to be the best version of ourselves to others ✨
Take care of yourself, it isn’t optional, it is NOT negotiable. You’re worth it. 💛
