August 15th 2017 was a big milestone in my life. I was at a Tom Ferry seminar and he introduced a guest speaker. His name was David Goggins and he said this: "if I would read your biography, would if change my life". There I was, obese, tired, depressed and stressed and angry at life. I thought, omg he would be so depressed, and then I took a trip in my mind and looked at myself 10 years from now. That was not a good picture and for the first time in my life I got scared of what the future would look like if I didn't change. Short version, in just over a year I've gone from an stressed, obesed, angry, overthinker who could hold on a grudge like it was gold, to a happy, self assured fit woman who loves life and growing her comfortzone, killing one fear and obsession at a time.
15. ágúst 2017 var dagurinn sem allt breyttist. Ég var á ráðstefnu og David Goggins var gestafyrirlesari. Hann sagði: ef ég læsi ævisöguna þína myndi hún hafa áhrif á mig. Þarna sat ég, feit, fúl, stressuð og reið út í lífið. Ég hugsaði, guð minn góður, hann yrði bara þunglyndur karlanginn. Ég sá mig eftir 10 ár ef ég heldi áfram á núverandi braut og það var ekki falleg framtíðarsýn. Stutta útgáfan. Á rúmu ári hef ég farið úr því að vera stressuð, feit, reiður ofhugsari sem hélt að langrækni væri keppnisgrein í hamingjusama, sjálfsöruggara, heilbrigða konu sem elskar lífið og að stækka þægindarammann og tekst á við einn ótta í einu og vinn.

Six lbs difference, a little over 6 months time. June to December. I have said before weight is just a number. Weight is still just a number, but with weight change. Your body changes. That is my purpose. Change. Finally, I have push through my plateau. Trial and error. Ups and downs. Injuries, and re-injured, diet confusion. Countless hours in the gym, pushing around to much weight, not enough weigh. Eating more food then needed sometimes, other times not enough food to push through. Workout fuelled sometimes by anger, sometimes by frustration but mostly determination and passion. Days where there was no way in hell I wanted to be there. Days where I did not want to leave. Mind over matter, good people, lots of help, good support and determination has gotten me this far. So very Thankful for the help. Excited to see what 2019 has in store. .

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you set new goals or take on new challenges...
If you tell yourself you can, you will execute and conquer.
Resist the temptation to tell yourself you can’t.
Reframe your thought process and build a plan that will help you breakdown your barriers.
Here’s a few easy steps to practice if you start to feel like you’ve bitten off more than you can chew:
First and foremost, identify your key motivations. Revisit your why to refuel your fire inside. Passion and motivation will propel you forward.
Secondly, reflect back on:
•What you are grateful for and count your blessings
•How far you’ve come in the last few weeks/months/years
•How great you feel about your progress, the fear you’ve overcome and the measurable goals you’ve achieved from taking action
Thirdly, focus on your new goals and ask yourself:
•How much you will regret not accomplishing it? What will you lose?
•How great you will feel when you accomplish it? What do you have to gain?
Fourthly, create a list of your daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly goals and assign a minimum target to each goal that is realistically achievable.
This will define consistent habit goals that translate into progression towards reaching your bigger achievement goals.
When you set goals that you are truly passionate about, you will be driven and ambitious.
Even when the goals are so big that you have to venture way out of your comfort zone, you will shove fear to the side and take action!
You’ll embrace the discomfort and find a way to get it!
If you don’t feel like you have magic flowing through your veins when you visualize your goals, you may need to revisit your why and ask yourself if it’s your goal or someone else’s goal/expectation of you...

After the house is all decorated for Christmas, I love to sit near our tree. It always looks so beautiful to me when the other lights in the house are dimmed. I begin to think of Christmases past, of happy times, smiles when gifts were opened and the laughter of my boys when they believed they weren’t getting their most wanted gift but got it anyway! My heart is warmed and my spirits are lifted. I even get a sense of peace just from looking at all the glowing lights and special ornaments. What about you?? Steps on taking CONTROL back in your life
1) Let your passion overtake you. Let go of fear and see how life changes when your passion drives you. (If you don’t know what your passion is. That’s okay! Experiment. Find that thing that lights you up).
2) Every time that you have a scary thought or worst case scenario — think of a positive scenario. Stop the negative thoughts in its track and immediately think of a positive thought.
For example, what could happen if it does work out??
3) Spend anywhere from 5–10 mins in a meditative state where you can visualize your success. You can try lighting some candles, put on essential oils, play soothing music, and breath!
You can even record your own meditation of what you want to happen. (No better way than putting it out there in the universe).
4) Create a solid plan to make your best case scenario become your reality. Now change WONT happen overnight. Yes we want to reach a goal, but there’s no elevator to success. Start with small baby steps! What is one thing you can do to work towards your goals? Then as time goes on add on.
Taking control back in your life will be a challenge, but YOU are in CONTROL. Take some time to complete these steps and remind yourself that it WILL happen. There’s no question about it!
Also remember, that when things are tough you DO NOT have to go through it alone. Find your people and lean on them when you need help. Asking for help in fact shows strength. If you don’t feel comfortable asking family or friends then MESSAGE ME! I’d be more than happy to support you.
YOU CAN DO THIS. YOU WILL DO THIS! One day you’ll look back and say WOW that was worth the leap of faith.

Let’s talk about how often we stumble upon the
rippling feeling of our guts telling us one thing and
our brains telling us the other?
“Just trust your gut”
In my 24 years of life I still get nerves up to my throat
when I hear that.
In other words, anxiety plays a huge part in my decision making and it has for as long as I can remember.
Let’s talk about this for a long minute -
I’m highly in tune with my body and I’ve learned
how to read my body well.
For me an easy way to tell the difference when you
do a gut check is that anxiety is usually loud&long.
Intuition is quiet&quick.
If you acknowledge the feeling and it still won’t go away,
it’s most likely anxiety.
Intuition usually is a straight pull in one direction.
Anxiety doesn’t change.
To follow my intuition when I am unsure I say left or right, this card or that one, this herb or that one, or whatever the two choices are.
Whichever causes the feeling to worsen is a no,
when the feeling goes away or lessens is a yes.
I do this all the time because for me both mild everyday anxiety and intuition telling me something is wrong,
feel extremely similar.
My extreme sensitivity caused major anxiety growing up and I made it a mission to find comfort in the unwanted feeling of worried nerves.
Making this post in hopes of helping someone cope with their anxiety or somehow comfort someone by letting them know, it’s okay.

I don’t have time, energy, or interest in hating the haters; I’m too busy loving the lovers.⠀
The top things that I have learned about those people who want to tear you down.⠀
1️⃣ You have something that they want or are missing in their life. ⠀
2️⃣ They are typically negative people who want to bring people down to where they are. ⠀
3️⃣ They fear your growth. They will not grow and cannot bear growth happening to you.⠀
Here’s what you should do:⠀
1️⃣ Listen to people who have things you want in life. Don’t take advice from someone who has or is less than you are or want to be. ⠀
2️⃣ It’s best to ignore them and not play down to their level. The best way to show them they are wrong, is to succeed. ⠀
I have dealt with my share of haters and ignorant comments since my personal development journey began. I know that they aren’t going to stop, but every time I overcome one, I feel a little stronger. ⠀

RAISE YOUR STANDARDS.
Decide to change what you need in life regardless of what your situation is. The worst thing we can do to ourselves is blame anyone but YOURSELF for where you are and what you are. Decide to change your life and CHANGE YOUR STANDARDS. Your standards are what you are, so ELEVATE THEM. ELEVATE YOURSELF and be everything you can be.

Affirmations are proven methods of self improvement because of their ability to rewire our brains. That was me last week, I was coming up with every excuse not to train. - it’s too hot 🥵
- it’s Christmas 🎄
- I’m tired 😴
It left me feeling terrible, puffy, bloated and my self confidence was going down ⬇️
This week I’m bk in the gym, scheduling a little sweat session everyday because it is hot - so I’m keeping it short and sweet, it is Christmas - and there’s lots of food about and yes I’m tired - but training actually gives me energy and makes me feel good about myself.

Where do you envision yourself 5 years from now?
This is a question I recently asked myself. When I thought about my answer, I then asked myself, okay now how are you going to make that happen? My initial reaction was to cry and throw a pity party because where I am is not aligned with my vision for my future.
Then I took it a step further and told myself to calm down. What can I start doing today and what action steps am I going to move forward with to get there? And I sat down and created a plan.
Have you ever asked yourself these questions? Take a minute and do it. Where do you want to be in 5 years? What do you need to do now to get there?
For me, I have 5 non negotiable a every day: 🔹 Keep a balanced and healthy nutrition
🔹 Workout with no excuses 🔹 Read or listen to positive, uplifting and growth oriented things at least 15 minutes a day 🔹 Show Up! Every day, for myself, my family and my ladies in my virtual bootcamp
Now these are just 5 small things I’m committing to doing every single because I decided that I will reach my vision of where I see myself in 5 years, if not exceed that expectation.
