They say everyday is a schools day and today definitely is!
Today I’m spending the day at @notanotheracademy
learning and pushing myself to be the best colourist I can be.
If you’ve never heard of @notanothersalon
then go and take a look.
They are shaking up the industry with their honesty, hard work, talent and creativity.
Keep an eye on my stories as I’ll be posting throughout the day.
So it's an awakening moment, to say outloud, that last Friday I turned 55! What? When and HOW? Say it ain't so!
But yup, that happened.
It's kinda.like now what? Well a few.things enlightened me, the best compliment never given to my face (lol) was a compliment from my Son to another.
His words were " Have you seen my Mom, she eats healthy and workouts. all the time" Beaming, because HE notices this! And the other, is, my job is changing as of June 20th, and I seem to be reminded of my love for Fit Activities, from Family, friends or patients.
I will taking a new turn but staying within the fitness world, because its second nature to me, (30yrs nature!)
It would be awesome , If my love for this kind of lifestyle can help someone gain, knowledge, fitness, confidence, strength and create a lifestyle they enjoy,. Let me know if your ready to take on that change!
Workout, be active and live life.

I have been heavy my whole life. Not confident, to scared to show any skin;even if it is 100 degrees out side, couldn’t breathe when I would walk, knees hurt, I was moody and unhappy. But now... I’m feeling the difference! No more pain, I can breathe, I can walk/run, I can dance and show my legs! I am unstoppable and so ready to take on this new life! Can’t wait for weigh in on Monday! So ready to see what the scale says but even if the numbers don’t move, I’m still going to fight like hell to have the life I want! #lifestylechange #transformation #imdoingit #imdoingthisforme #workhardplayhard #lesscarbs #bethebestyoucanbe
"If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward"
Today is the day I find who I am and be confident in who I am. No matter what anyone says about it. I'm here to live for me, not anyone else. I'm not here to impress others and I'm not here to be someone else's door mat. I'm here to live my best life and be the best I can be; whether I have a small circle or big circle behind me. I've got this. 😁
Blessed Be, Pretties! 💞

Don't try to be cool, don't try to be different, try to be more of yourself every day.
Be more of you everyday.
One of my best friends, @mynameis_courage
, taught me this valuable lesson earlier this year that has kind of stuck and has become my mantra. Naturally, the human instinct is to avoid events that provoke the feeling of fear. But did you know that there’s two types of fear? The first, fear that kills, is a warning that means you need to escape to safety or avoid that particular situation. An example of this is standing on the edge of a cliff, going to a dangerous part of town at night, or anything else that poses a real threat. The other type of fear is fear that helps grow you. Examples of this type of fear could be talking to a cute boy, asking for a promotion, or joining that Zumba class. These are the types of things that I used to avoid at all costs. Unfortunately though, this avoidance was getting me nowhere and only adding to the anxiety, stress, and feelings of inadequacy. Now, when I get the feeling of fear I ask my self “will this kill me, or will it grow me?” If the answer is growth, I force myself to act upon that thing no matter how hard or uncomfortable it may be. Learning to distinguish between the two types of fear can allow for an intentional and obvious opportunity for personal growth. In nature things grow or die. So chose now, will you grow or will you die?

I’ve always loved scrapbooking. It has been an enjoyable and fulfilling way to spend my time. Plus it was something that I could enjoy doing with my mom. However, I used to be SO embarrassed about it. Anytime I had a friend coming over I made sure that my scrapbooks were nowhere in sight! And if my friends somehow did see them, I would lie and say that my mom made it and quickly shove it away. How sad is that?? Since then I have learned two things.
One: don’t be embarrassed about your talents and hobbies. Share them because I promise someone will appreciate it.
Two: make sure you surround yourself with people who uplift, encourage, and support you in the things that you are working on.
Now I proudly tell people that I love to scrapbook and most the time people actually think it’s kinda cool! I love the fact that this is something that makes me unique.✂️📸
what’s something that makes you unique?
So now that you’re graduated, what are you doing with your degree? Oh! It’s hanging on the wall!😅
Friday I walked in my commencement ceremony after graduating in December with a bachelors degree in exercise science & minor in psychology. Every time the question about “what’s next” has come up I wanted to crawl in a hole. I felt ashamed that I didn’t have an answer that people were expecting to hear. My husband and I decided that I wouldn’t pursue a career at this point. The months leading up to graduation were very difficult as I battled other people’s opinions with the decision that my husband and I knew was right. Because well, if you don’t have kids and you’re done with school, you should have the perfect job! Right? That’s the pressure that I felt at least. Sometimes I feel like society creates a “perfect plan” that everyone should follow, and if your not on that track there must be something wrong. This is confusing when you know that is not the path for you. I felt left behind and lost. Hearing all the wonderful plans my classmates had to attend grad school or the perfect jobs & internships they had lined up crushed me. I was reluctant to admit our decision, even to those who I am closest to. I wanted so badly to answer with some impressive next step for my future and career following graduating, but I couldn’t. Looking back I understand that this stress and anxiety stemmed from the fear of other people’s opinions, but I’ve learned that “other people’s opinions are none of my business” @msrachelhollis.
Working on mastering this skill has helped me reach a point where I can proudly say that school and careers are taking a break at this point in my life. Deep down I knew what was right for me and now I’m grateful that I can say it out loud without wanting to runaway. Not letting in other people’s opinions is a skill that I will continue to work on and I’m grateful for the progress I have already made. I am extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to attend college for these 3.5 years and for that accomplishment of earning my degree, but I am also grateful for the blessing that I don’t HAVE to use it right now. And you know what? THATS OK!
Hey everyone! 🙋🏼♀️ I figured should probably introduce myself so I’m not just some random crazy girl that has too many hobbies.😅 (this honestly kinda scares the daylights out of me). Anyway, my name is Megan Faerber. I’m 22 and married to my sweetheart, Preston. We’ve been married for 1 year and 5 months. Currently we are living in Albany New York, but only for the summer months because my husband does summer sales. I always swore that I would never be a summer sales wife but holy moly am I glad I was wrong because it has been the best decision my husband and I could have ever made. (Side note: I also said I’d never marry anyone from high school either.... I’m glad God has a better plan for me than I do!😜) Our home the rest of the year is in Hyrum, Utah (or we can just say Logan cause no one knows Hyrum). We love our life and all of the adventures that we get to experience along the way. Some of my hobbies include journaling, planning, scrapbooking (yeah yeah I know, who does that anymore??), crafts, decorating, organizing, style, shopping, reading (that’s a new one), self improvement, exercise, sports, and learning new things. I am so passionate that everyone needs to have something that they do regularly just because they love it. What are some of your hobbies? I’d love to hear!!
does an amazing job and was so quick and easy to work with. Seriously! I emailed her yesterday and already have this beautiful photo hanging up in my home. I am so happy with how it turned out. It’s a beautiful and more personal way to display the family proclamation.
Anyone else a last minute valentines person?... guilty.
Good thing these cute festive treats were so quick and fun to whip up!
The “Cupid Crunch” was a basic “chex muddy buddy” recipe with some fun valentines m&m’s added the make it more festive. So easy and always a favorite treat! A quick google search will bring up the recipe.
The other treat was made with square pretzels, Hershey’s hugs kisses, and valentines m&m’s. All you do is pre-heat the oven to 170-200 degrees depending on your oven. Then lay out the pretzels with the hugs on top in center on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Bake for about 4 minutes or until the hugs are shiny and soft (not melted yet). Then take them out and carefully place the m&m’s in the middle and slightly push down so the hug buttons. Wait for chocolate to cool completely and enjoy. Very easy, cute, and tasty!
The best part about both of these treats is that you can change the color of the m&m’s to make them festive for each holiday!
I had also planned on making a cute festive marshmallow popcorn, but it was definitely a #pinterestfail
. You win some you lose some🤷🏼♀️ Also, thanks to the target dollar section for my cute sparkly X’s and O’s!
Happy V-day lovers!💕❤️

every little girl needs a cute bow to go with every outfit
I used my #cricutexploreair2
to make my card and bow label for the box. Bows are made out of remnant fabric pieces (16” long and 3” wide) and nylon for the headband.
The best part is that the headbands are made to easily transition to clips for when the baby outgrows them by cutting the nylon and slipping in a clip. The box is a basic photo box from @michaelsstores
which is perfect for storage.
Pm me for details if you are interested in customized bows, cards, labels, etc. and I’ll see what I can do your you!

Follow these simple steps for some cute repurposed vinyl record bookends
•2 unwanted vinyl records (I found mine at a local thrift store for about 50 cents)
•heat resistant baking pan long enough to fit the vinyl record
•pot to boil water •wood block or other flat sturdy item to help shape
•spatula to help push heated side down and shape
•boil enough water to cover about 1 1/2” in the baking pan
•pour water into pan
•starting on one side, dip the vinyl record into the water
•Slowly push down as the record softens until you reach the height you want
•use the flat item and a spatula to help keep the shape
•once the record has reached the desired shape and the water is cool enough, pull out the vinyl record •if you are not pleased with your shape, you can start all over with the same vinyl record (: That’s all there is to it! So cute and fun and only takes about 15 minutes. I love these for the ends of my records, but they would be fun on the ends of books too.
Tip: use smaller vinyl records if you will be using as bookends for smaller book
I LOVE journaling and writing about my life, so how cool is this?! Adding the photos to my journal just makes it so much more exciting and fun to look back at. Plus these can be used for more than just journaling -another great idea I’ve seen these used for was a wedding guestbook. How cute would it be to have a picture of friends and family at your wedding next to their sweet note!? The hp sprocket connects to my phone through Bluetooth and allows me to print my photos anywhere at anytime! The coolest part is that the back can peel off so the photo is an instant sticker! Plus they are small and easy to carry around.
