Tonight we attended “An Evening of Shalom: The Way Things Ought to Be” to benefit Peace of the City Ministries. Pictured is our Studio Director and our two Assistant Managers. We are sharing this photo, our only one from the night, which was taken when we first arrived at our table and before our phones went away for the duration to be fully present and to honor the stories and privacy of those speaking. To say we were touched by the heart stopping stories the youth shared tonight does not even scratch the surface of the profound honor we shared of bearing witness. This is one small humble way we help them heal: to see them, to bear witness to their struggle and to rejoice in their bravery and profound vulnerability. We are changed and inspired and profoundly moved to do all we can as a studio and community to care for ALL the children and young people of this city. Learn more about Peace of the City at peaceofthecity.org and to make a contribution to quite literally help save a young person’s life. May all beings everywhere be happy and free. And may our thoughts, words and deeds in some way contribute. #love#blacklivesmatter#namaste#freedom#peace#shalom#healing#justice#socialjustice#bethechange#change#inspire#truth#overcome#inspirational#instagood#donate#philanthropy#support#blackandwhite#rise#buffalo
🙌 WORLD WATER DAY 🖤 | “Even if you never have the chance to see or touch the ocean, the ocean touches you with every breath you take, every drop of water you drink, every bite you consume. Everyone, everywhere is inextricably connected to and utterly dependent upon the existence of the sea.” - Sylvia A. Earle
Hi! My name is Erin💚
Yes I am a “Yes-a-holic”! Sometimes it is not such a good thing because I over-extend myself but I thank God everyday I said YES to a few key things:
- YES to living a healthier life
- YES to becoming my own boss - YES to the idea that I am worthy of all life has to offer me, including those crazy dreams I allow myself to have
- YES to “possibilities” (this one gives me all the good feels)
So I ask you, why not say YES to yourself? What do you have to lose?!? Worst case scenario, you unleash the greatness that has been in you just waiting for you to say YES to it!
I’ll never regret the day I said YES to living a life with purpose😎 .
Volunteering while traveling is an amazing way to experience a new country. 🌏 We’ve been lucky enough to volunteer in most of the places we’ve visited on our journey, and hope to continue to do so. 💛 If you know of any amazing places to volunteer, please let us know! We’re looking! 🙏🏼 Check out our YouTube channel to see the places we’ve volunteered so far! Link in bio —> @meaningfulquest#youtubers#volunteering

They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you."
~ Kahlil Gibran "By the time my second child was born I had learned a few things.
In fact, I’d learned so much that I remember literally turning around in a panic in the middle of my kitchen yelling, 'Oh my God, where’s the baby!' That fraction of a second lasted until I discovered her peacefully sleeping in the cradle right next to me—where I had obviously put her down without even noticing it. It was so instinctual at this point as to be seamless. Needless to say, that wasn’t how it was with my first child.
The beauty of having more than one child is that we get to see, irrevocably and unmistakably, that people are different from one another. We may also discover that respecting those differences is actually the key component to keeping kids intact, though we don’t need two kids (or more) to do that.
When we have a child it’s like we don’t know if we’ve been handed an acorn, a strawberry seed or an egg. We are definitely holding something that we...read more, "3 Tips for Raising an Intact Child" via @kristinluce on elephantjournal.com ☝🐘🙏 Join Elephant Academy's Summer Session: elephantjournal.com/path 🙏 Find your path. Thursday Thoughts on #ThumbsupThursday 👍🏻👍🏻
...Did you know? $1,000 invested in Amazon 20 years ago would be worth $451,000 today!!! When Amazon was introduced, it was simply an online bookstore that was changing how books were sold and delivered to people without all the overhead of a bookstore.
Business is changing. Today, Amazon has completely turned our online shopping experience on its end (Umm...Hello?! who doesn’t shop on Amazon?!?!!!🤔) Amazon was an industry disruptor... get it?
In 2008, Rodan+Fields pulled out of high-end retail and made their products available only by independent business owning consultants ... 2009: $10 million in sales
2010: $22 million in sales
2011: $56 million in sales
2012: $109 million in sales
2013: $196 million in sales
2014: $350 million in sales
2015: $636 million in sales
2016: $1.15 BILLION in sales
See where this is going?! - another industry disruptor, but this time in the hands of consultants. The best part is... we are JUST getting started. .
I have gained peace of mind from not only knowing how my daily choices affect others but also by knowing that I can lead a healthy, happy and whole life in the process.
I think veganism, reducing my waste and water usage have been the most significant changes that I made to reduce my eco footprint. I am content knowing I do what I can and in my means to reduce suffering of people, animals and the ecosystems that support us. Doing this means longevity for me, but also for a planet to support humans for generations to come.
