Ok. So I went to an auction Monday night because of an online posting I saw Friday at work that had GOOD vintage dolls. I’m very happy I got the winning bid, after sweating it out for four days, as the online bidding exploded. (But who needs food or gas anyways right?) So, now I’m learning about this gal. 1966 Ideal Toys Misty doll (part of the Tammy family) straight leg and centered eyes (RARE) cuz they only did this version briefly and usually all the other Misty dolls had side eyes. Unfortunately my girl got the chop from a previous owner. So instead of a sassy long blonde flip-she has a demure “bubblecut” pixie. (At least they did an even cutting job). I’m still researching the clothes to see if they belong to her but I do know this black n white checkered sheath, with sheer center panel, is original. Also, interesting note, this is also the head mold Ideal Toys used to create the #elizabethmontgomery#samanthastephens#bewitched doll! (Now I want one of them too!)
