Namaste fellow travelers 🙏🏻
Yajna 🔥plays a major role in the culture of India.
Yajna is one of the oldest rituals.
It is impossible to start any important ceremony or milestones in life (birth, wedding 👰🏼 , death) without inviting Agni Dev or the God of Fire 🔥 as the main guest.
Numerous offerings to the God of Fire is what Yajna is, accompanied by the repetition of Vedic mantras 🕉each time an offering is made.
The word "Yajna" comes from the Sanskrit verb Yaj, which has a three-digit meaning: the worship of deities, unity and mercy.
Gratitude and donations to the fire 🔥 , it is believed that reaches God.
Vedic Yajnas are authorized to perform four kinds of Vedic priests - Jota, Adhvarya, Udgata and Brahmin.
It is not surprising that at least four priests are present in any Yajna.
A person performing holy Yajna is obliged to observe certain vows, called chandrayana. These include fasting and life in accordance with strict discipline.
Khota recites mantras to the God of Fire from the Rig Veda.
Adhvarya is responsible for organizing Yajna, such as measuring land and building an altar.
Udgatra is a mantra singer with melodies called adobe, taken from the Sama Veda. Since these chants include three types of vital breaths - prana, apana and vyanu in the body, the task of the udgatra is to contemplate vital breathing.
Brahman is the leader of the whole ritual. He reflects on Chandra Dev - the God of the Moon, the deity of the mind.
What gifts are offered to fire?
Ghee, milk 🥛, grains 🌾, fruits🍎🍊, flowers🌺, clothes and money.
Vivah (wedding) Ykana.
Hindu marriage is a momentous occasion, and Yajna occupies an important place here. The presence of Agni Dev, as a witness to marriage, is incomparable, since Agni Fire 🔥 reflects the purity necessary for any relationship, especially such as marriage. As the fire crackles on a favorable morning or night of the wedding, it reinforces the meaning of marriage, the need for its holiness and longevity.

The Divine Within Everything And Everything Within The Divine
-Exploring The Gita’s Core Metaphysic
Many of us have something we’d change in a heartbeat if we had the chance. Something about our life, looks, personality, fate. While growth is challenging, perhaps acceptance is more challenging. Acceptance requires elasticity of the heart- it must expand to envelop the very thing we wish wasn’t. But from this process comes humility, deeper love, and prayer. 💙

I will not criticize. I am tolerant. I take no offense. I am quick to apologize and ask for forgiveness. I will see the good in others and let them know it. I am grateful. 🙏🏻
These are the Six Pillars of Bhakti Yoga as shared by @raghunathyogi.
We hosted Raghunath at @bysyoga
