I read an article on how the president of J Crew eats the same exact lunch every.single.day (Cobb salad)
And I resonated with her (make a lunch uniform and it’s one less thing to decide in a busy day) but then I realized I used to feel anxiety at lunch time.
🗯What foods to combine?
🗯How much is too much?!
🗯More carbs or fats?
🗯Maybe I’ll just skip it?!
I worked with a dietitian (before I was an RD) to help me sort it out but I also realized I can eat what I want -which sometimes includes lots of avocado on bread-plus I know I don’t have to be perfect (giving myself grace in my choices if I do have a cookie or overeat) so I’ve been able to take the guesswork out of lunch and my day is SO much simpler bc I’m able to focus on what matters. I choose a meal that can be adjusted with a few ingredients (salad, bowl, wrap) and let my #hunger
dictate the rest. There are SO many options to fulfill cravings and fuel yourself without being repetitive.‼️Taking the guesswork out of food is really nice.
