For so many it‘s „Out of sight, out of mind“. Did you know fennel is great for the digestive system? In fact, in India, it’s a common practice to chew fennel seeds after meals to promote digestion and also eliminate bad breath. Simple fennel and asparagus salad topped with basil, almond, avocado dressing . I used 5 stalks of asparagus, 1/2 small fennel, and sautéed it on a pan with a bit of salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Day 6: Post & explain something that’s unique about yourself. This is a #repost from 2016, but I’m posting it again because it is so on point for me. Being a highly sensitive person is what made me so perfect for social work, yet also unfit for it. I feel everything. I have great boundaries, so don’t confuse the two. And I’m good at self care. But in spite of that, I’ve learned that I feel everything 10000x more than the average, non HSP person. When things are good, they are the best— but sometimes what others would perceive as minuscule in turn hits me in my heart like a ton of bricks. I wouldn’t take this away, because as the post states it makes up the very core of who I am. My sense of love and kindness, my ridiculously deep love for and connection with animals, my ability to connect with children, the impact on my friends who just need someone to understand what they are going through — it’s all related to my sensitivity. I would like to talk about one thing portion sizes. You can see it on every food package you can see all the measurements all over instagram. Now don’t get me wrong they can be quite useful when you’re trying to get your eating habits in check but I think there’s one thing that needs to be said more especially here on the internet. You cannot and should not compare the portion size someone else might need and the portion size you need. Have you ever seen a recipe for a porridge that said use 1/2 cup of oats but when you ate it you were still feeling hungry and not satisfied and then when you increased the amount of oats you felt bad and like you were eating too much? Well let me tell you you are not! If 1/2 cup of oats is not enough to fuel you in the morning then just eat more. The same goes for bagels or bread or any other food. If two pieces are not enough then eat another one or two or as many as you need to feel full ,happy, satisfied and ready to continue with your day. Now this is not to say that you should go and stuff your face with all the bagels in a packet but just make sure that you are eating enough FOR YOU and stop focusing on how much other people are eating. If it’s enough for them perfect! But if it’s not enough for you then just use the quantity you need. Same thing in reverse if something is too much then just use smaller amounts. Other people are not you. They’re bodies do not work the same way as yours and they might need less food. Maybe some people have sedimentary jobs and you on the other hand have to run around all day therefore needing more fuel. So if you got this far please don’t ever feel bad or like you’re eating “too much” if your body is still crying out for food. Just give it to it and trust that it knows what it’s doing. #rantover Oh and also I think I’ve found a new obsession cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and black currant jam🤤 #vegan

I think I’m getting pretty good at these snack boards. And I just opened my fridge to make breakfast and found all the Oreo truffles we made and then couldn’t eat because we were too full. WINNING.

Awareness brings change . part of me didn’t want to post this because of a voice inside that says to just stay in the present, “let go of the past, be high vibe, you attracted it” etc; but I woke up this rising to a text from a sister saying that today is the anniversary of the day I chose Love over fear and left. My story was being used in domestic violence shelters and I didn’t have a clue, later I went to speak at DV shelters and shared my story myself. Even if I can help one person it’s worth sharing. I have since received two messages from women who dated this man after I did, saying how strong I was and thanking me for the empowering posts that I share on ig and the women’s work that I do. One woman wrote “you don’t know me but I know you. When he first heard that you were saying you were in an emotionally abusive relationship he thought that was crazy and at the time I did too. Fast forward, I just got out of a one year emotional/psychological/verbally abusive relationship with him” For those that make it out, this is the catalyst to our awakening, to our journey home to ourselves. The book “Men Who Hate Women and the Women Who Love Them” & “The Nice Girl Syndrome” are two books of many that changed my life. Therapy, group coaching, Self-Love classes & courses, ancestral healing, yoga & movement, plant medicine, rewiring rewilding my nervous system and pathways in my brain, hours and hours of research on narcissistic/emotional abuse, giving back to the community, InnerBonding with Dr. Margaret Paul, are some of the ways I got to where I am now, dancing where I am now, and I am greatful for it all. GOD IS ~ LOVE. Thank you to my love partner @spiritualheart , who studied domestic violence in school and has held so much space for me to blossom. Thank you to @sacredsons for leading the way for the masculine. Together We Shine. DAY 2 Yesterday was tough and I realized that my lungs are not what they used to be 😅 I used to do PIIT along with the videos but I found out that it's actually more motivating and challenging if I do it with the Blogilates app timer.
