Today was all about meal prep for my new job tomorrow. I went to the grocery store, made my quick chicken noodle soup, did the Armed Forces workout, and also the following:
1) I slow-cooked a chicken to make portions for lunch and dinner for the week
2) I separated the edible bits from the bones
3) I prepped a salad for the next two days
4) I had really ripe bananas and used them to make Cassey's Guiltless Chocolate Mousse as snacks
5) Made BBQ ribs, roasted thyme sweet potatoes, and garlic zucchini for dinner
6) Made Cassey's Overnight Oats for breakfast tomorrow
Omg I spent an insane amount of time in the kitchen lol! It'll be worth it since I'll work my new job full-time and tutoring in some evenings. I hope I have enough time to work out since the commute between jobs and home is crazy in Toronto. I'll do my best =) Bonne nuit mes amis!

My year isn't over yet🎆. I've tried a few different approaches to health and I think I've finally figured out my full proof plan🤓. I start tomorrow to jump-start myself after vacation🍏. I may not know how the chips may fall in my life, but my health is my top priority and it is up to me to do something about it🏋🏼♀️. Here goes💪!
I love waking up to rain and thunder, it’s weird but it’s somewhat calming to be honest. Though I thought t was going to make my day harder because i do groceries on Sunday. I really did not want to get wet, oddly enough that i was just saying I love rain, I hate getting wet. Anyone else feels like this or am I just weird. Besides that for today I had this big sweet potato, seasoned chickpeas(I miss you so much), a bunch of baby carrots steamed, green beans and the last few Brussels sprouts and spinach I had in the fridge. I also had of course my hummus and guess what i also had my nooch(yes!!!) today I basically through whatever I had in the fridge since I was running low on everything. So how was your weekend? Anything exciting happen? Or was it boring like mines?😂

So, after my post a couple of days ago, I had an influx of DMs asking how I chose my username (thank you to all the sweet people that said they love it)
When I first started my page, it was all about fitness all the time. I thought my name would just be boring and I was going through a phase where I was obsessed with anything related to the mythical creature #pegasus
but workout_pegasus just sounded stupid to me.
The closest thing to a pegasus in my mind was a #unicorn
so I thought, why not call myself the workout unicorn?
That was literally the thought process behind my name. Sorry to disappoint everybody that thought I invested hours on end thinking of a cool username

So a little update on the tongue/lip tie situation:👇👇👇
These stretches are the absolute SUCK. 😞 😭 They hurt my heart.
😭 They make my baby cry.
😭 They give me anxiety because if I don’t perform them forcefully enough, there’s a chance the ties could reattach and we could have to go through this whole thing again from the start
😭 They are just all around no good, even though I know they’re BEST for my baby.
But there is one huge blessing this time — with Everett’s tongue and lip revisions, he had established such a terrible suck by the time we revised that my milk supply PLUMMETED and I had supply issues the ENTIRE 14 months he nursed. 😞
This time, so far, my supply has been PLENTIFUL to say the least. Obv nutrition is #1
with supply issues, so I’ve been supercharging my day with extra nutrients!
1️⃣ oatmeal every day for breakfast
2️⃣ water like WHOA. (Like as much as I can stand without bursting)
3️⃣ lots of nursing and skin to skin ❤️
4️⃣ and this one is the biggie — TWO shakes a day instead of one.
Cuz like... Raise your hand if you have time to cook healthy meals every single day! 😳😳😳
No one!? Yeah, me either. Especially when I’m doing these stretches every three hours, keeping a toddler alive, and nursing/diaper changes/trying to sleep EVER in between!
Except I DO have time to "cook" at least one incredibly healthy meal each day because it takes a total of TWO MINUTES and I can shake it up with one hand if I need to!

Sitting is hard work. Wait...I mean sitting UP TALL is hard work. I’ll never forget when I was going through teacher training, another trainer grabbed my hips and rotated them forward so I’d get off my sacrum and onto my sits bones. My first though was ‘you beeeeeeeeep’ but now my thought is ‘THANK YOU’
Tight hamstrings and weak/tight low back muscles can inhibit good posture while seated. So, yes, I’m saying you have to PRACTICE SITTING [properly]
Ever notice how babies sit? We all used to sit up tall and proud but life and bad habits get the best of us
A great way to practice good posture? Bar stools! I’m not kidding. Take away the support of your chair and make your core hold itself up. It’s still the weekend after all
