Protein Smoothie and my go to Chocolate for Easy Lunch. Waiting on my YouFoodz delivery 📦 It was raining here this morning and felt very lazy so didn’t go to the gym and instead went and bought new activewear from #rockwear 😬 It’s cleared up now so hopefully I should be able to get a walk in before I pick the kids up from school.

Last January i was so freaking frustrated! Heck, I was a health coach, did the meal plans, food plans, workout routines PLUS MORE, and my body was like “HEYYY AMIE, I DON’T CARE WHAT YA DO.... I’m just gonna keep inflating! Oh yea, by the way, i even have some extra bonuses ... CRAZY FATIGUE, ANXIETY, and ENERGY CRASHES! “ I felt awful not being able to figure out what was going on. I found no solutions. After switching my diet, restricting my diet, doing 21 day programs, what have you... my body was screaming, NOPE!!! Have you felt like that? Like nothing you do is improving your energy, your fatigue, your memory, your emotional state, YOUR BODY? #transformationtuesday ... a new fall do 💁🏻‍♀️🍂 How is that a simple hair cut can ramp up the motivation factor for all things fitness, family, and life? Something new always livens things up. I think this can parallel a lot of things in life - particularly fitness. Variety in your diet and workouts keeps things fresh and fun 💪🏼 ___ Speaking of diet and workouts and all things fitness updates, I figured I’d share since it’s been awhile....I’m hanging out around 126 lbs (I’m 5’6 1/2”) and I’m nearing the end of breastfeeding. We’ve been at once a day for the past month and a half, but today was the first day Chiara made it entirely without! At the peak of my nursing, I would fluctuate between 121-123lbs, which is super light for me. Now that my hormones are stabilizing back to normal, I’m putting on a little more muscle. It’s a process though for sure. The lower body is being stubborn and retaliating if it gets too much volume. Anyone else understand this struggle? Still trying to figure this one out. Finding the sweet spot for training intensity now that my levels of estrogen and testosterone are normal is proving more challenging than I anticipated. I’m doing home workouts 4 times a week, 30-45 minutes in total length. Sometimes straight sets, sometimes circuits. No added cardio, just the occasional stroller walk. ___ Diet: Bye-bye breastfeeding calories and macros. Actually, it’s really not like it was a sudden good-bye. This has been a gradual taper over the past several months. Every time Chiara tapered her feedings, so did my calories...almost intuitively. I’m averaging around 1900 calories per day. Protein is pretty consistent at 130g, with fats and carbs fluctuating during the week based on my training and how my body is recovering. ___ Fall goal: more muscle all over... Why? Because muscle is highly metabolic. As we age, metabolism wants to decline. All the more reason to place emphasis on keeping the lean muscle mass up... Also, because it makes me feel strong. I gain the energy and endurance I need to have for this phase of my life in Motherhood #mywhy ❤️

Throw back to my results from my first postpartum program I completed! . It was HARD fitting in workouts with a 4, 2 year old, and a newborn. I got up at 5 am most days to get it done. I did it even when it was hard because I felt SO good doing something for ME! I loved how I felt when it was done, and my energy was increased even though I had many sleepless nights! . Through breastfeeding and sleepless nights, I still got my meal planning done with was my saving grace during the day with 3 littles tugging at me! 😜. And thank goodness my plan came with 30 meals sent to my door! . We all write our own story. If you don’t like the one you’re in, change it ♥️ . Weight Loss Tip: Add just one fruit or veggie serving daily. Get comfortable with that, then add an extra serving until you reach 8 to 10 a day.
The days you don’t want to work out ...those are the days that you need to more than anything. I could have come up with a million excuses to not exercise today....It was pouring rain, I spent a long day with a baby and a toddler, it was already 5pm and I still had things left to do....but there’s absolutely nothing like the feeling you get when you’re finished, covered in sweat and just a little better than yesterday. Isn’t that the point with everything in life? My new goal for every day is just that...to just be a little better than the day before. #givelifehell

3 ways to get vegetables in at breakfast. ••• I often hear from my 1:1 clients how difficult it is to get vegetables in at breakfast especially juggling #momlife with nursing, managing toddlers and kids, and sometimes a full time work load outside the home. Here’s a few of my sure fire ways to get ‘em in. 1️⃣ Hide them. Egg scrambles with lots of veggies. Zucchini Oatmeal (you can’t taste zucchini) Smoothie. 2️⃣ Supplement. Sure, it’s not always ideal, but when you’re in a jam something is better than nothing. I like green juice and red juice from @organifi 3️⃣ Plan it Out. Pay attention to what you’re eating everyday anyway for a week. You may find you’re eating the same 3-5 things out of habit anyway! Let’s change up the habit and ADD a serving a veggie instead of thinking about restricting and resisting. 4️⃣ Give yourself permission to eat roasted potatoes. Even though potatoes are “high in carbs” they don’t act the same way in our body as high carb processed food. Potatoes are rich in vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. Potatoes are highly statsieting and can often be used as a buffer food to prevent binging out on French fries or potato chips. Not sure what’s funnier... the expression on my face or the enormous gut I was sporting at nearly 42 weeks with my 3rd child 😂😳🏀. While shooting for an all natural birth, the midwife wound up having to induce me (much to my disappointment) at 42 weeks. Will was just stubborn then as he is now. 😜 I remember very clearly thinking, at 37 years old, “there’s no way Im coming back from this one”. With my first two kids, I was in my mid twenties and bounced back. I was in ballet class and dancing again within weeks of giving birth to them. But, I knew that this baby was not only BIGGER than my first two (he was 9 lbs 10oz at birth!), but my body was not happy carrying that load like it was in my 20s. Things just felt “different” this time. Fortunately, the female body is amazing😉. While I had to move slower, and pace myself in new ways, I found the path back. A new path from the ones I’d taken before but one that brought me to a place I never dreamed. Physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The key? Sustainability. That’s it. It was something I could do everyday for the rest of my life. It was common sense nutrition mixed with the structure of a fitness program plus compassion and support from others on the same journey. I’ve had many people tell me that I couldn’t do something, and many times I believed them. . Quick storytime: I love to dance and I believed I could somehow make a career out of it. I was 13 years old and I just knew I could be anything! Unfortunately, I was too loud with my dreams and was shot down by the person who should have raised me up. . I let that day dictate my life. I would tell myself that I was not good enough to do the things I dreamt of. . How sad, right? Letting the people around you decided that you can’t achieve your dreams. . I know this is a battle for many people, and I'm here to tell you to stop listening to everyone else. They do not have to live your life, so why do they get to decide what you are capable of. . I'm 25 years old and I have learned that there are no limitations on what you CAN do. . I guess those posters in my high school were right! You can achieve what you believe! . So with that being said go out and make your dreams happen. And when your best friend, mom, or whoever tells you otherwise, simply say ”thank you but I'm still going to try!” ❤️

Guess who is back to doing frontal planks with no pain OR conning after a whole year off & healing my Diastasis 🙌🏽🙌🏽💪🏽. I wish i could've caught Sinaiah smiling & clapping her hands for me everytime i successfully held a plank. She must have know mama needed the encouragement because my road to healing from Diastasis Recti has NOT been an easy If you're a mama healing your Diastasis Recti then you know this is a HUGE accomplishment since we highly recommend holding off on performing frontal planks until you're healed. Yes even I (a physical therapist) had to over come the fear i had of reinjuring myself and trust that all the work i've put into healing my DR was paying off & that my body was telling me it's ok. IT FELT DOG GOOD!! This is the same feeling of accomplishment i want for all my mamas out therer on their healing journey because i know sometimes its frustrating. It's frustrating wanting to be able to run again or feel confident in your body but feels like your own body is holding you back. My advice to you is to DON'T GIVE UP, give your total focus to your healing journey & just do your best. No the results may not come easy & yes having to do things differently is hard but you'll be strong to the core because of it❤ SUPER excited to start helping other mamas heal that have enrolled in my DR repair Core Rehab program! SO SO SO VERY PROUD OF THIS ONE! This extremely busy mother of two young boys has been rocking this last 5.5 weeks! Down nearly 15 pounds in a healthy and sustainable way! Like most of us, Emily struggled after having her second kiddo. Making yourself a priority is so tough. Not to mention the plethora of misinformation and fad diets being shoved down our throats on the daily. She has finally found her groove! And I’m so happy to be along for the ride! Emily is confident in her nutrition plan and needed something that works for a family of four. But she needed my push with the workouts. I’m changing up her routine every week. Mostly gym workouts, with a few days training at home. We are incorporating a lot of strength training mixed with plyometrics and cardio. One of the greatest gifts coaching has given me is meeting women from ALL over...this sweet soul and fit sister is from Canada. The first time I met her, we were both on our free trip in Punta Cana. Watching her journey as also been an incredible blessing. . Here is what she had to say about it: “This journey has not been a straight line! I’ve had highs and lows! I’ve been through super stressful situations, emotional eating and wanted to give up at times! The biggest thing for me was not focusing on the scale! I know the scale does not define me and my hard work! My journey has proven to me that I’m capable of so many things! It has allowed me to feel confident in my bikini, to fit on rides at the theme park, to feel good and not winded when I’m playing with the kids! I ultimately got my life back! Today’s workout was a huge mental challenge for me. Ethan woke up mid nap (which is when I normally workout) and needed to be rocked back to sleep..twice. . I paused my workout and attended to him but know what the hardest part was? The hardest part was to go back and press play afterwards. I could have easily if called it a day. Threw in the towel. But I didn’t. I did every exercise. Every round. Every rep. . Hi 👋🏻... my name is Kylee and I...⠀ Am not a great swimmer. 🏊🏼‍♀️ ⠀ .⠀ Part of it is swimming in big bodies of water freaks me out, and I’m also just not a strong swimmer so I can’t get too far. ⠀ .⠀ When I was in preschool and at swim lessons I almost drowned and maybe that set the tone for me. I would like to learn how to be a better swimmer! But for now I hang in the shallow areas and on the beach ✌🏻☀️⠀
Let them be your reason... never your excuse 💕 All of my kids know how important physical fitness and movement are to me. My workouts never take away time from them... and to be honest, the times I do it with them around, I think they love it... and sometimes the older ones join in. Yes, my house may not be the cleanest (that's a guarantee 😉) and there may be a million loads of laundry to fold, but it's all about prioritizing. Working out and staying active is top on my to do list everyday, so I make sure to get it done... however that may be. My kids are also the number one reason as to why it's so important for me... they are never an excuse not to get it done (ok, unless we are rushing to the hospital, or some other extreme that is obviously more important). I want to teach them, I want to be a role model to them, I want to be healthy for them, I want to live long for them, and I want to be able to keep up with them. The list could go on... but you get the idea. I use them as my motivation to keep going day in and day out... and I know I'm a better mom because of it. 💕 #toppatough

Triceps Kisses! Who’s tried these before? 😘 I imagine you may have seen these somewhere before as part of a “Mommy & Me” workout. If I’m going to be really honest with you, “Mommy & Me” workouts are kind of BS on the actual workout front - meaning you probably aren’t going to be able to get in a real sweat-induced workout with a crying, rolling, crying, or walking baby who needs you. #realtalk What I do recommend is sneaking in BONUS exercises like this throughout the day, especially in the early months where you may not be able to fit in anything else. Doing exercises like these here and there are better than doing nothing at all. Part of motherhood is going with the flow and doing what you can when you can. Even if you can’t workout every day, you can MOVE YOUR BODY everyday. “I didn’t loose myself when I became a mother, I found myself” . Becoming a mom has been the greatest gift in my life. It’s taught me so much about life, priorities, confidence, and what healthy really is all about. . The picture on the left is me before 4 kids. I was working out an hour a day and my idea of eating healthy was basically barely eating. I beat myself up all the time about how my body looked and was never really confident in my appearance. . On the right is now....18 months post baby number 4! I’ve nursed all 4 of my babies and worked out from home through pregnancies and after (minus my first pregnancy cause I didn’t know about in home fitness). Most of my workouts are 30-40 minutes, with simple meal plans that aren’t diets, and my whole family can follow them because we ALL need to eat healthy, not just momma. . What really amazes me about my mindset now is that I actually have MORE confidence in myself than before I was a mom. I’m stronger. I have more energy and my stomach doesn’t burn anymore like it used to from poor nutrition and anxiety. I feel amazing and I’m teaching my kids what a healthy life looks like! . I honestly can’t imagine going to the gym these days with 4 young kids, activities, and working. Someone’s always got something going on, or somewhere to be. I save so much time having my workouts available in my home and there is no excuse of “I haven’t had time to go to the gym”. . Truth: Nutrition is not my thing! But, I like the way I feel when I eat healthy. Truth: I enjoy 🍕, 🍦and 🍫 But, when I eat too much or too often 🤢 and I feel like 💩. Truth: It’s easy for me to focus on fitness and not be as disciplined with my nutrition because that’s what I’ve done in the past. But, if you constantly do what you’ve always done even though it’s not serving you, you’re doing yourself a disservice! - So, what am I going to do about it?! Am I going to wait until the new year and say I’ll start fresh then?! NOPE!! I’m going to start now, because if I keep being lax with my nutrition, I’ll end up gaining weight, feel like 💩 and have less energy then have an uphill battle to fight come January! ALL the cardio ☠️. I chose this program because I knew it would challenge me, cardio is HARD! 🤬 Every minute of it is an internal dialogue of quitter talk and profanities 🙊. Not to mention that I have ‘bad’ knees and that provides me an *almost* acceptable reason to quit.....because 👉🏽 listen to your body ☝🏽. #Always . . I have a whole library of workout programs available to me but with my excuses and limiting beliefs, I’d completely cut myself off from far too many 🙅🏼‍♀️. Stuck in a plateau? Switch it up!! . So, here I am ☝🏽tackling a program that scares me. I’m in week 4 of 8 and totally D-Y-I-N-G! But still going because what doesn’t kill ya makes you stronger 👊🏽 #LearingOpportunity 😁. . I’m learning to clear my head, to control the ‘just quit voice’ and to just take a damn sec for a breath when needed 😜. And my knees.....they haven’t once granted me the reason to quit that I’d secretly kinda hoped for. I modify when needed, watch my form, slow my pace, sub in a similar move and I almost always turn jumps into steps. I’ve also come to learn that knees my are much stronger than the knees that I once knew (and made excuses for). #NonScaleVictory 🙌🏽 . What are you scared to tackle? 10 months in vs 10 months out!! Can’t believe this big girl was in that belly! I have learned and grown so much in these 10 months. It’s been so much more than “bouncing back” I have taken new risks, furthered my education, worked on pursuing my passions, helped more clients with fitness and nutrition and worked on my own health and fitness in the process. Typing this quickly in between bursts of crying/screaming/arms flailing/legs kicking/tears steaming #toddlertantrums she’s had this afternoon. Because i feel like someone out there reading this will just NEED to hear this message as much as I do. • You are their mother. They love you. You are their safe place. They need you. You are their punching bag. They cherish you. You are their home. Regardless of the crazy moments and the (multiple) times during the day you question your parenting and sanity, just remember that they were placed in your life for a reason. And hold that (and them) close to your heart. • The hard moments suck, but the good moments are blissful. Hang in there, mama (and/or grandparents like in my case...sorry mom and dad for her temper tantrums today 😬)! #transformationtuesday Paleo, low fat, low calorie, juice cleanses, obsessing over the scale...I have tried it all! Some of those things worked for a time, but I could not be consistent with them! I needed a sustainable lifestyle, not a quick fix! It is so important to find what works for YOU, and I am so glad that I have. I can now focus more on my energy levels and how I feel rather than a number on the scale! That is why I choose to share this journey. Because I am so passionate about this lifestyle, these 30 minute workouts, daily superfoods, following a nutrition plan to fuel my body. Finding that balance postpartum was challenging..But I did it, and I know you can too! So I will continue to share because I know this LIFESTYLE is the real deal!
BYE BYE BELLY! These were the only shorts I could wear for awhile. My lululemon shorts haha were laughable and out of the question. I was still in shape, but my body composition was SO different! I put them on late other night for pajamas and was 👀! And the scale hasn’t moved that much! But my inches are shedding! 💪 You can do this! The hardest part is getting started! Just do it. It’s always worth it!

Hicimos mucho cardio y abdomen 💪🏼 Hubo un momento durante la clase haciendo burpees en que pensé que me moría! 😅 Sude como nunca! Tomé la clase en el nuevo fit studio de #Tijuana (Cacho) @thestudiotj 💜 se los recomiendo demasiado! Las instalaciones están wow! 🙌🏼 . . . Back to my workout class of @barralates (a combo of barre, pilates & dance) It was my first class since giving birth a month and a half ago. Today we did tons of cardio and abs. At some point during #burpees I thought I was going to pass out! 😅 I kept going and enjoyed my workout to the max! I literally need those endorphins to stay happy & active throughout the day. ✨
