Biceps Brachiallis: Short head and long head. 💪🏼💪🏼 ♦️
The anatomy of the biceps is composed of two muscle, often referred as two-headed muscle group. To get the size and shape you want, you need to train both heads. You also need to train the brachialis muscle, which runs along the outside of your upper arm. I often like to do Spider-Curls because it targets both of those heads. ♦️
My best suggestion when it comes to this exercise is to choose a weight that allows you to complete 8-12 repetitions. If you like to target your inner head, which is the one that makes the bicep appear fuller, use a wider grip. If you would like to develop the out side of the bicep my suggestion will be a closer grip; this will allow your longer head to be more involved, which is the head of the bicep that creates the peak or sticks out the most. ♦️
Lastly, when your doing any bicep curls make sure to slightly extend your wrist backwards allowing the forearm to relax a bit, this will allow the bicep to be place under more stress since the forearm is relaxed and not as involved through the movement.
