My sundays are always my meal prep day. I have been dieting for years now and it took me a long time to realize how important meal prepping was in order to be successful. If I would have neal prepped when I lost my first 50 pounds I never would have lost all of my muscle due to not eating. _____ It also makes it so much easier to stay on track. When it is time to eat all you have to do is grab your meal from the fridge and eat it. It makes you less likely to eat fast food knowing your meal is at home and ready. It isn't easy and it takes time but if you really want that better body you will do what needs done. #mealprepsunday #fitgamer #bodybuildingmeal

This guy never ceases to impress me!. The only thing he lacks is bloody REST AND SLEEP and now he is finally starting to realise the sheer importance of it and it's pivotal role in his recovery and sessions so he is taking it on board... meaning even more crazy changes are on their way. . We have found a cyclical approach that works for him for his dieting and we are currently going through a transition phase in his training with alot of shoulder and arm focus as it was in the back burner previously to not only sensitise them from the over training they copped... but to allow recovery of his shoulders. . Now only a month into bringing up his arms and delts.... and progress is EVIDENT.. . Proud @lifelivingfit
Via the power couple: @iifymacademy . Bobby's POV on each point: . 1 - We live in a society where the metric of success is, very much, dependent on your comparison vs others. It's how a lot of us (myself included until I trained it out of me), have gauged whether we should be content or not. I'd go as far to say we're considered "losers" for even contemplating otherwise. . It's wrong. . I'm not talking about stepping on stage, I'm talking about your personal journey. . Never define your success based on external factors that are outside of your control. If you consciously decided not to give a f*ck about others, and focus that energy solely on you, that will get you the best result for anything. . 2 - This is a mindset issue. I personally believe that if you learn the basics of nutrition, it will be the 1st step towards helping this mindset. By understanding why this won't be a physiological issue in the long run, the anxiety it may have originally caused will fade. . You need to be pragmatic about helping your mental state. If you suffer with the anxiety of overeating, don't accept it. Learn about how your body works with food. So you can have the power. . Figure food out. Figure it out, then you can help control your mental state around it. . This is why I prefer tracking macros, as opposed to "diets" or meal plans which take that work and knowledge away from you. . Because you will overeat at some stage. You will. But because I know how little damage that has done in the long run, it's very easy for me, mentally, to get back on track. . 3 - Same as point 2. . 4 - I push macro and calorie tracking. I also advise intermittent fasting. . Are they the key for everyone? . F*ck no! . We need to remove the word "diet" from the dictionary; It presents this idea that each "diet" is inherently better or worse for fat loss. It also presents this idea that by following Kim Kardashian's "Blended Placenta Detox", you'll automatically look like her by following said "diet" I.e."eat like me, you'll look like me". . You won't look like anyone who doesn't share similar genetics. . You will, however, be a wang of similar proportions. . 5 - Fall in love with the process. . ❤❤❤

Leg day...ask any bodybuilder and they will have stories of old were they have pushed their bodies beyond what they thought possible, they will have a favourite machine in which play a key part within this story and usually a slightly mental friend who pushed them to the sick bucket 😂.
