It’s a site recommended by the NHS and you can find and connect with people with a similar health condition. The service has over 700 online communities focused on health and wellbeing topics including cancer, thyroid disease, mental health and a lot more.
It’s basically a social media platform for people to connect and discuss with other users going through the same thing as them. It’s free and no I’m not doing this as an advert, I know the site through work which is why I signed up.

It's 1 pm and today I have been misgenderd twice. Once by the mailman, once by the lady at the grocery store (both times I heard them refer to me while talking to somebody else and use the wrong gender.) I am very close to being 17 months on testosterone and it doesn't change much about how I am being seen by the world around me. If I would wear solely black and other dark colors, I'd probably go through this a lot less often. But then I'd have to deny who I am, how I feel most comfortable in my skin. I would have to stop wearing glittery white shoes, lilac, purple, rose tones etc. And I do not want to do that. So instead I am lying in bed, hating this world and questioning once again, if I will ever be able to live in it without being disrespected, hated on, stared at and commented on, either because of my gender expression or because of my body(weight).
Today I got another note for two more days of sick leave (today I have a day off, Tuesday and Wednesday I am on sick leave). So I am one of the people hating on me right now. I feel guilty about being able to go on sick leave, for letting down people at work, for not trying hard enough. All these thoughts are there, even though I know that they are bullshit. I have a lot of suicidal thoughts, I am physically extremely weak and I know that I can't handle public transport right now. (I went to something work related last week on one of my home office days and the commute send me down a spiral of overstimulation, anxiety and suicidal thoughts and led to a breakdown (?) In my apartments hallway. It took me an hour to stop crying - thanks for the help, Stöpsel+Kalle.💜) So I know I am not able to work. I will calm down hopefully and accept it.

Who knew my closet would make for a wonderful yoga setting? We have some house guests, so I needed to find somewhere to stretch and breathe. Closet it was. Don’t let the excuse of not having a space deter you from your goals. Someone reached out to me saying she was going to start today committing to herself and her health. I’m thinking of you and know you can do it. One small step at a time is better than not doing anything.
Ps: yes that’s my stomach. Yes I have stretch marks. Yes, it scares me to put my least favorite part of me out there but I am trying to love myself for what it is.

With all the pressure of looking "flawless" these days i wanted to take a step back and just dont judge over the things that bother me about myself for a little while. I didnt use any concelaer, coloured eyebrow gel, or coloured mascara for this look nor did I edit anything; just raw skin, pores, pimples, and face hairs 🌺 hopefully in the future people will no longer judge others and themselves over stretch marks, birthmarks, 'imperfections', or body hair; everyone deserves to feel beautiful in their own skin no matter colour, age, heritage, gender, or orientation 🏳️🌈

La importancia del descanso. ¿Cuántas veces has pensado que si echabas el freno en tus entrenamientos cotidianos perderías todo lo que habías ganado?
Todo el camino recorrido, el tiempo invertido y la condición física lograda, ¿a la basura por un par de ratos de descanso? .
Pues siento decirte que te equivocabas de manera rotunda. Piensa que el esfuerzo al que sometes a tu cuerpo es muy importante y que el desgaste puede llegar a ser severo, y en esos momentos ¿cómo crees que se recupera tu físico?
No nos engañemos, la vida del deportista llega a ser dura y complicada muchas veces, y es perfectamente normal que no queramos tirar a la basura todo el esfuerzo, el tiempo y, en algunas ocasiones, el dinero que hemos invertido en alcanzar nuestro nivel.
Pero es que cuando te encuentres en esa tesitura deberías pensar que el descanso no es tu enemigo, que forma parte del camino que has de recorrer y del tiempo que has de invertir para llegar a conseguir el éxito.
La combinación de esfuerzo y descanso como planificación ideal
La solución a la falta de descanso entre los deportistas sería algo mucho más sencillo y factible de lo que parece si se tratara de raíz, es decir, desde la propia programación de los horarios. A la hora de entrenar son muchos los aspectos fundamentales a tener en cuenta, como la alimentación o la hidratación, factores que muchas veces es necesario planificar minuciosamente.
De este modo, el descanso debería ser otro factor clave en la planificación de los entrenamientos de cualquier deportista, que ha de ser consciente en todo momento de la total y absoluta necesidad de combinar el esfuerzo físico con el descanso para recuperarse.
Jamás pienses que el descanso es relevante únicamente cuando hay sobrecargas o lesiones; es imprescindible siempre, puesto que en muchas ocasiones las dolencias están ahí sin manifestarse, y si no se da espacio a la recuperación éstas persistirán y se agravarán. ¡Así que descansa!
