S-Dobrado integrations and a little “fear research”. As part of my acrobatics work, I have S-Dibrado integrations, so I managed to work in a move @farid_herrera showed me a long while ago.. adding the heli to the S-Dobrado. Suuuuper hard to land well!! 🌀 • I also found a nice and useful “roll thing” to bridge the gap of technique and fear with the Back handspring. It’s not so useful for technique, but I found it fantastic for the fear of jumping into the blind unknown. To build up, I used a big crash mat. 🍑 @palozzo.marcello
Ok so I smiled this time, like I said I would. The word of the day today: Substance. So it’s Monday. And it’s a holiday. But stay active today anyway. Remember it’s not tremendously complicated. Stay Active = Stay Fit. I strongly believe that form follows function and that if you train for overall practical function of the body and eat healthy natural food, the “form” will fall into place as well and you will be pleased with your physical appearance as well. An off running day means a little strength building with a body weight cardio routine. Over 300 calories burned in a challenging Monday morning cardio routine. Three not-so-pretty burpees, 55 squats, and a full minute of the horrible cross over jacks are some of the highlights. It kept me on my toes for 40 minutes this morning. Toes to fingertips - building stamina! 🌞 Here's probably my all-time favorite, end of workout, handstand exercise! (Want an extra challenge? Try it with WRIST weights!!!) 🥳 You can see my side body (especially the left side) fatiguing as I continue on. The goal is to maintain complete stability in the core and legs and have no bending in the abdomen, creating motion solely through the quick weight shift and lifting of the arm. 🌛 This is a strength building progression for your one arms; it's low risk because you aren't holding the position, yet your muscles are becoming accustomed to bearing your entire weight. Happy Monday! We have stagger burpees on the menu for our bodyweight workout. Our Kettlebell flow consists of 2 double plyo push ups and a clean and press combo twice. We do the flow for 1 minute straight, 30 seconds of rows and 30 seconds of burpees! We did 3, 2 minute rounds after kettlebell interval training! Monday, a time to plot and plan the weeks objectives! I’ve been getting a lot done recently due to writing a daily to do list, I have learnt that being realistic with what you write down is key! So prioritising and writing around 1-3 things down has helped me get more done! An example may be: Complete a certain task to do with a work project Go to the gym Drink 2 litres of water It can be work related or health related! Being consistent with this is a game changer! Try it for yourself, get a nice new note pad and start plotting! Hope this helps!

ARE YOU PLANKING INCORRECTLY? - The plank is a great isometric (static) hold when done correctly. It’s a movement that I see done wrong in many fitness classes. - First of all if you don’t know how to isolate your hips into extension and flexion (anterior tilt/posterior tilt or Donald Duck bum/No Bum) then I’d advise you to work on that first. - Secondly my advice would be to make sure that you are able to protract your shoulder blades so that your chest doesn’t sink (protract is a fancy word meaning “separate your shoulder blades” check out the correct way to see what I mean) - Once you have the basics set in place and understand how to do the above, THEN you can figure out how to do it in a plank position - Stop trying to to 2-3 minutes of holding a plank and start working on getting a strong 30-60second plank with constant tension (imagine that somebody is trying to push you over and you are like a brick wall) Make sure that your back is neutral without any arch in the lower back. - GO TO YOUTUBE AND CHECK OUT 1.
