Went out to Ferebee Farms today in Rock Hill SC. They raise sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, pigs, and some veggies. Here we were in a nearby field with their guard dog watching the flock. A friend has large fields of grass and does not feel like mowing. Enter sheep and goats to eat what the mower wastes! The guard dog lives with the flock protecting them from coyotes, foxes, or being stolen. Great farm and farmers. Their nearest location is @matthews_market

I’m a traditionalist at heart, but I tell you making stock in a pressure cooker is awesome! There are times when I love it simmering all day on my stove, but these hot summer days my pressure cooker is the perfect appliance to use! And I cook everything for 90 minutes so it is nice and rich. After I strain and cool it will be stored in freezer for a future fall soup. I was going to allow myself a feast after egg retrieval
And by feast, I mean Pizza, latte and a pastry (probably not during the same meal...!!!).
To me that’s a feast because Gluten, dairy and sugar have a huge negative impact on my health and I avoid them at all cost!
Especially now that I’m trying to be as healthy as possible for this IVF cycle to work.
So I thought, right after EG would be the perfect time to indulge since I have about a month before we move on to phase 2..
And then the bloat happened. And the pain...
So now I’m thinking this feast I was looking forward to is going to make me even more miserable...

Today I spent hours cleaning, tidying, creating space and freshening up, mostly for my mind but summer hols has taken over our house I can’t deal any longer... anyway in doing so I found major enjoyment in getting in my kitchen (when do I not but hey) and making an overdue batch of chicken broth with a ton of veg and in between feeding the kids and myself, something awesome happened..... tonight’s yoga class! We were all in agreement but hell that was strong, incredible and as I had a clearer mind and breath tonight was the first time since practicing regularly that I could put my face on my knees and quite comfortably stay there! @mags_cran

I was starting to feel run down last night and then it carried into today. This has been the busiest week I’ve had in a while, just nonstop. I had 5 minutes to get my lunch together, so I turned to my Keto Thyme Better Broth along with 2 hard boiled eggs and 1/4 cup of macadamia nuts. I felt so much better afterwards!! sent me some samples of their AIP compliant protein powder that I used in these bombasss! My new fave flavor is the cherry carob!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“CHOC” (carob) base:
1 TBSP melted coconut oil
1 TBSP softened coconut butter @nutiva
1 scoop @primal.health.nutrition
cherry carob protein
1 TBSP extra carob powder from @bobsredmill
+optional: a few drops of stevia or honey
Pinch of salt
(You can use regular cocoa if not AIP)
Mix everything together and then line the bottom of muffin tins or candy molds with this mixture! Place in a freezer for 5 minutes!
2 TBSPS tigernut butter made from @organicgemini
2 TBSP coconut cream
Optional- a few drops of stevia or honey.

Alcoholic Booch? Yea, we do partake.
So we are a ‘wellness’ company, and shunning alcohol kind of comes with the territory, but the truth is some of us still like a lil dose of the bubbly here and there!
High alcohol booch is SUCH a great option when staying away from grains (hello beer and all grain alcohols!) excess sugar (oh hi simple syrup) and super high alcohol levels (so tipsy…). High-Alc booch will hover around 5-7% ABV, and feel like drinking a light beer, without the bloat. Plus, since they are simply kombucha that has been allowed to brew longer and ferment further, they are full of probiotics and relatively low in sugar.
