Now grab your Valslides or paper plates, or washcloths, if you don't have Valslides. The paper plates or washcloths do the job as well! Oh, and you can also do Hamstring Curls with the Stability Ball!
Now, I am fully warning you, these Valslide Hamstring Curls are no joke. They light the hammies up like nobody's business! 🔥🔥 You will experience some DOMS.
The Valslide Hamstring Curls are so good Y'all, you can build and get your hamstrings pretty strong with the movement.
If you're new to these, start off with eccentrics, which means you'll slide out but not slide your legs back in. You'll be bringing your hips, dropping your butt down between each rep and starting the movement from the start.
Once you get stronger, you can progress the exercise to the full movement - out and back in!
So, How to:
- Get into the bridge position on the ground
- Place the Slides under your heels,
- Lift up (hips), brace core, squeeze your glutes. Keep your weight evenly distributed across your upper back - don't hyperextend.
Be sure to keep your hips up! - No Sagging throughout the movement!
- Then with control start the exercise by extending your legs/feet out then bringing them back in!
