Diving into the new week with optimism. 💙
Wether you are paying for the mistakes you made yesterday or reapping the benefits of your actions, remember that it's a new day. You may not always make the right decisions but you can make the decisions to make things right.
[EN] If you'd like to go for a hike in Brittany, I would advise you to discover the Pointe du Groin. Read more on the blog ☀️

This is truly one of my favorite nights of the month as we bring together an intimate group of strangers over a homemade farm to table meal. I make meals all the time for my family, and can easily find and follow a great recipe. But Kirsten can actually cook — riff, improvise, substitute and make real magic. Working with her in the kitchen is such a treat and I always come away feeling inspired. We still have seats available this summer so email email@example.com

The way to paradise ?!
Le chemin du paradis ?!
I love the bonding that happens over food. 🎈I spent my Saturday learning how to make delicious hand-made tamales. As we cooked my teacher, Veronica, shared her whole life story with me from growing up on a farm in Mexico where they ground their own corn meal for tamales, to her journey to the United States at 15, to now raising her seven kids. What a woman! It reminded me of being in the kitchen following my grandma around as she told me stories from her childhood in Panama. The kitchen was my favorite place in the house, because it always came with a good story and yummy food. Every time I eat plantains it takes me right back to those moments with my grandma.
What food reminds you of your childhood?
The story behind the events:
Every year the Chinese Confucian / Buddhist temple in Cilacap holds a celebration for the birthday of its presiding god. Every three years the celebration is bigger with ‘fellow gods’ and people attending from similar temples all around Java. I was lucky enough to be present on one of these big celebrations. There are different parts to the celebration all communing around the temple which is a bustle of life, and food!
The first part of the once-every-three-years party is the burning of the dragon. The dragon is normally used for the dance and after being used for a few years it becomes worn. The dragon gets tired and so people believe they should retire the dragon and apparently the best way to send a dragon off to an honourable retirement is to set it on top of a bed of ‘gold paper’ sitting nicely on the beach overlooking the Indian Ocean and burn it while everyone prays for their good fortune. The gold paper holds peoples prayers and so burning this also sends the prayers closer to heaven. There are also sacrificial foods taken out to sea, blessings made by the temple priest for Indonesia, the town and people within it, and of course the shaman inhaling incense smoke to get into a trance. It was an overwhelmingly amazing experience, one I’ll never be able to full explain or remember all the intricate details of.
A big thanks to my friend Chriswan for inviting me to his home town and sharing this wonderful experience with me, and to his family for hosting me, and of course to the people of Cilacap for being so welcoming!

, the capital of Nagaland, is a surprisingly calm and clean city that sprawls along the Japfu mountain range. It was quite a sight with the evening light!
It's going to be 70 today! Let's (ice) scream it from the rooftops!
This almond brittle ice cream with salted ganache is the stuff of dreams (and makes for kitchen inspiration). I'd go back to SD just for this!

Cray cray crazy excited about this week!!.😁
Its been almost 3 weeks of full discipline, commitment and pushing the DO button to see results. Yes, physically, but more than that MENTAL results. Those are the big ones that many times had stopped me from getting what I really want in life believing I'm not ready for that or simply I cannot do that or even better I shouldn't do that. I used to put soo many excuses in front of me specially when it was about exercising simply bc I was soo afraid to move out of my comfort zone and getting better things in life for me and my tribe. Definetely No pain no gain!! 🦋
So If you want to start making some changes in your life, not only in your fitness and health areas but in those that keep stopping you from being your real YOU, DM & I can tell you more deets. 🤓
Have an amazing Monday and let's crush this week!! 🍃💗
I’m gonna need you to be obsessed with me. Thanks.
