~ a brief visual escape from landscape photography brought to you by myself and the lovely month of september ~ I actually snapped this one earlier in the summer across the street from a spot in east boulder that I was skating with friends ~ it’s a closeup of an old wagon that was sitting in the middle of a field. The light was right and its always fun hopping fences... so I did ~

As we explore each relationship we learn to validate our preferences so we understand what irritates us and what works for us. Starting with the premise of our Creative Nature, we are naturally attracted to individuals who are similar. Since we have grown up in compromised relationships, we frequently become enamored by the idea of overcoming differences as a way to prove ourselves to our partners. This approach minimizes our creative flow and maximizes our separateness. Making conscious choices about relationships requires experiencing both sides of the spectrum, from many commonalities to many differences. Some individuals prefer a mixture of the two, because it keeps them alert. The real question is, what resources do I have to deal with these patterns over time? ::
When a new person shows up and they remind us of a positive association, how will this association fare over time? Few of us have answers for these questions. It takes experimenting with two or three conscious relationships before we know what works for us. Otherwise, we fall into unconscious parental, opposition or power frameworks of choice. Since we suggest that you use two major Compatibility Factors (Primary Creative Expression and our Defense style) as the starting points for sorting out our best partner opportunities, we still need to validate other options to make sure they are viable choices. We recommend avoiding Co-Dependent or oppositional choices. We suggest that certain parental imprints will become irritating over time.

Once a Series we gather together with a community of artists, Boulder locals, friends and family for what we call a packing party! We assemble all the stickers for the upcoming Series and get them ready to go into the vending machines. Colorado Trail, Day 41: We Did It!
Holy Cow! We hiked 490 miles and reached the Junction Creek Trailhead, the southern terminus of the Colorado Trail!
With huge gratitude in our hearts we wish to thank our personal trail angels: the Bower family (Denver), Margaret and Larry (Denver), Chris and Stephanie (back home in Chicago), and Rob and Amy (Durango). We also want to thank all the folks who gave us rides to and from trail towns and eased our burden, as well as the local business owners who made our stays so pleasant in the trail towns we stopped in. To all the intrepid thru-hikers who shared the trail with us, it was a sincere pleasure to hike with you. And to our Instagram followers and blog readers who followed our journey online, thank you for taking some time out of your day to read about our adventures, like our photos, and offer supportive comments. It was truly motivating to know you were supporting us from afar!
We are already counting down the days until we can hit the trail again. Where should we go?!?! 🎑

Perseid Meteor over Dream Lake. This year was my first time photographing the Perseid Meteor Shower and I think it went pretty well. I got to Dream Lake around 1:30 in the morning. It took me an hour to find the right composition in the dark but once I did I just continuously fired off shots one after the other; hoping for the perfect meteor to pass through my frame. Luckily, with only about 30 minutes before the stars faded into day I saw the brightest meteor of the night pass right by where my camera was pointed. That made the whole night worth it from a photographic perspective; but I have to say that witnessing the meteor shower in such a beautiful place was an ample reward on it's own.
This is picture is blended from a few exposures: the stars and milky way are 8 exposures stacked to reduce noise, and another exposure was taken during blue hour for the foreground and blended in post. .
