3K followers?! That doesn’t seem like much, but to me it’s so exciting! Im sharing my work life/passions with you, and hope many of you can find inspiration in my story. Now, I get asked a lot “Why Latina,RN” and I always get overly passionate when talking about it. To me, being Latina is just as permanent as writing your name comma RN on your patients charts. So why not take that same concept of permanence in WHO you are: Latina, RN. I can’t even explain the feeling I get when I see a picture of those who have a shirt, & rock it proudly. •
Thank you for being on this journey with me. Ive been a nurse for going on 10 years, but we all know nursing is a never ending journey of learning and growing. •
And please know, I’m rooting for ALL OF YOU. All ethnicities, people with kids, no kids, nursing students, non nursing students, new grads, veteran nurses, and ANYONE who just needs to be rooted for. Regardless of what path you’re on, with dedication & determination, you will be unstoppable.
More than 100 years old and a unique design, the Bradbury Building is one of the prettiest buildings in Downtown LA. It’s free to go in and take photos.
Make sure to check out the Grand Central Market across the street for a yummy bite.
Hope you have an amazing weekend!
Gold-mining millionaire Lewis L. Bradbury didn’t quite survive long enough to witness the completion of his eponymous downtown L.A. masterpiece. Thankfully for us though, the Bradbury Building has survived decades of dilapidation, a curtain factory fire, and a certain Ridley Scott film.
A stunning piece of Los Angeles architectural history that needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Looks good on Portra 400 though.
International students loved brushing up on their Los Angeles history during our LA Scavenger hunt last week. This building is an architectural marvel and over 100 years old!! The open cage elevators, marble stairs, and ornate iron railings at the Bradbury building made us almost feel like we were on the set of Harry Potter! Put it on your Los Angeles to-do list 🌇
