One more post about Sicily and then those are done, promise!!😁
Must do a breakfast post, as the breakfast service by our host Marco soooo deserves it, as it was just simply amazing.
Firstly, we were able to choose the time when bf is served, and could have varied the time in any way suitable to us on each day.
Secondly, he asked about our preferences, so we could have had almost anything we ever wanted. E.g. we wished to get some fresh fruits and veggies and he always delivered, even if normally people dont eat those as breakfast.
Then, he always prepared or put everything ready on our table, so we didn't even have to serve ourselves from a buffet...
And finally, the food itself... omg. He took pride on offering us a complete range of the diversity of his region's cooking.
He put effort on trying to find us the things he wanted us to taste, but are not usually cooked at this season or the time of the day.
The food was either picked up from the best places in town or, prepared freshly by himself or by his mother and grandma!

Local speciality: muffuletta bread with fish and cheese filling
Middle left: local trad filled bread (spinach, potato and onion); usually made only around Christmas
Freshly made pesto pasta again by his mother
Sicilian trad famous arancini + cannoli
Different kind of filled bread + lemon granite
Fresh mozzarella+tomato+egg+bean salad and fresh local trad 'pasta le mandorle' cookies.
