Breakfast doesn't have to be complicated, but if you're looking for fat loss and an easy way to boost your daily detoxifying nutrients, this is it.
EGGS: sulphur-rich (sulphur is essential for your liver for sulphation, a key part of detoxification), they are also high in protein and full of amino acids.
KALE: a cruciferous vegetable which also helps with detoxification, provides antioxidant vitamins and is high in fibre (fibre helps to scrub toxins from the gut).
WHITE BEANS: A great source of fibre and protein, they have also been purported to help fight insulin resistance, facilitating weight loss.
AVOCADO: Low-carb, healthy fat, high fibre and also high in potassium. They have also been shown to help lower cholesterol.
To prevent a spike in blood sugar, to increase metabolism and to keep you full until lunch, breakfast should ideally be high protein, high fibre, low carb and low sugar.
I boiled these eggs for 6 mins, quickly wilted the Kale with a few chopped tomatoes in a pan with some organic cooked haricot beans (from a carton not a can, canned food contains BPA so ideally, don't eat canned food!), and it was all ready in about 7 minutes.
I first learned about this breakfast years ago from my old friend @timferriss
, I was one of his test cases for his book #4hourbody
, before I knew anything about nutrition. Living in SF, my on-the-go breakfast staple was cappuccinos and croissants, but I constantly wondered why I wasn't skinny like the French 🤔😆. I told Tim I did not have time to cook food like this in the morning! His reply? "Get up earlier." So yes, you do have time for this breakfast if you put your health first 😉💚
