Brunch today ☺️ I made tofu scramble with mushroom, spring onion and roasted red peppers. I also have made a huge batch of beetroot falafel so I crumbled a few into the pan too. Seasoning was smoked paprika, garlic and turmeric.
I also made a big batch of roasted potatoes, seasoned with the same, I have a slight smoked paprika obsession 😍
I’m now off out to sample a coffee shop I have wanted to go for a while so pretty excited, but concerned I won’t get a table on a Saturday 🤔
I’ve just been in an oat-y mood! 🤤 After a sweet holiday, to get back to my regular habits, I have to be graceful about it, or my sugar dragon will lead me to some questionable decisions. So I don’t just stop eating sweets cold turkey- it’s not good for my mood or my hunger pains. Plus, there’s always leftovers, right? How do you navigate that- I’m not going to eat an entire pie or box of chocolate in one day (although I totally could. Don’t challenge me 🤣), or throw it away the next (I’m not wasting the goods). I incorporate smaller quantities gradually decreasing until it’s gone to get back to normal because I want to set myself up for success and enjoy life. #balance
How did I learn all this about myself? Practice! Trial and error, and being #mindful
Here I have a base of vegan volume oats, fresh berries, thinned almond butter, shaved 100% cacao, and salty peanut sprinkles from the bottom of the can. (Don’t under estimate those peanut scraps- they are so salty and so delicious)

Hey hello hi and happy Saturday 👋🏼 feeling a little bit sorry for myself today (self inflicted by mixing wine and gin last night 🙄) but this breakfast seriously sorted me out and has set me up for a busy day! I mixed in some crushed @wonderfulpistachiosuk
pistachios and a spoon of @yumandyay_
milled mixed seeds & raspberries to my usual protein oat recipe and it tasted amazing! Give it a go yourself! .
RECIPE: mix 75g oats and 300ml almond milk then microwave for 2.5 minutes. Stir through 50g liquid egg whites, a scoop of vanilla protein (I use @theproteinworks
), 1tsp crushed pistachios and 1tbsp @yumandyay_
milled seeds. Microwave for a further minute or two until thick. .
Topped with frozen raspberries and blueberries, @picspeanutbutter
and two @cocoa.plus

Nothing beats some almond butter & banana on toast! Today someone warned me that people who don't eat enough meat die young because humans are 'omnivores' and need meat to survive. Tbh I find this quite ironic because the longest living populations in the world eat predominantly plant based - such as the Okinawans and the Adventists (pretty cool right!) People of the 'Blue Zones' traditionally ate a diet rich in wholegrains, veg and legumes with limited amounts of meat. Of course, they mostly moved naturally with physical excercise, slept well, made strong connections with others and with their spirituality and had a sense of purpose. ☀️

If I had portion control this and a bowl of muesli would have been the perfect breakfast. However I don’t, I also had a pancake with honey, two poached eggs on a fresh slice of (very fancy) bread (I have also decided I am defo not a savoury person in the morning and did not need this), a second serving of fruit and a bowl of chocolate cereal (no milk) and a brown seeded croissant. I wish I could eat like this everyday (and not get fat). Happy Saturday🍋🍉🍓🍈🥥🍍🥭🍑🥝🍞🥞🥚🥜🌰🍯

I was reading a book to my son today about the peacock who was complaining to the goddess of birds. 🐦🦅🕊🦆🦉She wanted a new voice because hers would make people laugh and wanted a beautiful voice like the nightingale. But the peacock has a beautiful gem like tail and the feathers around her neck that glimmer like rainbows that none of the other birds have. The falcon is very fast. The eagle is very strong. The parrot can speak. The raven is smart. No one can have it all - and each of the birds (or us) should treasure their own gifts and talents. 🤴👸

Coconut chia pudding:
🍓 place a cup or two in a pot with a tablespoon of maple syrup and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Take off heat and set aside.
🥥 add two tablespoon and at least 1 cup of almond milk to a bowl. Stir vigoursly for a few seconds and then every few minutes for up to 10 minutes to break up the chunks.
🥥 add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and coconut yogurt (about 2 tablespoons) to sweeten and thicken.
🥥 let it sit for at least an hour. .
Layer with jam, yogurt (coloured with natural food colourings) and chia pudding.

1/2 avocado (48p)
1 salad tomato (7p)
40g red cabbage (grated) (3p)
40g carrot (grated) (2p)
2 pieces of thick sliced bread (6p) ————————————————————— Recipe
You’ll need a grill oven at full temperature.
1. Pop the bacon under the grill for 3 minutes in each side. Add the tomatoes after 3 minutes. (Grate the cheese and veg in the mean time). 2. Take it out, pop the cheese on one piece of bread just long enough to melt it.
3. Take it out, stack it all up and pop the other piece of bread on top. Whack it back under for 2 minutes or so on each side or until the bread has toasted.

blueberry pancakes a whirl. AMAZING. I substituted the 🍌 for cottage cheese as don’t particularly like bananas. Dollop of yoghurt and a few blueberries which I heated quickly to make them juicy 😍😍 finally through Reset and onto Restore 💪🏼
Chia & cashew butter porridge.
Oats, 1 tsp of chia seeds, 1/2 mashed banana & 1 raspberry of cashew butter. Cover in liquid - soaked for 15 mins. Then add more liquid (nut milk today) stir regularly & cook slowly.
Tipped into bowl & topped with blueberries, banana, cashew butter, chocolate syrup & a few chunks of chocolate.

Kurz ne Mandelmilch geholt, zack: schwarz. Aber er schmeckte sooooo lecker und auch gar nicht verbrannt und war richtig saftig. Ich wünsche Euch einen wundervollen Samstag! 😎
Mittlerweile bin ich mir übrigens sicher, dass ich keine HIT habe. Ich habe letztens, nach meiner Karenzdiät, mal wieder stark histaminhaltige Lebensmittel ausprobiert und konnte keine Veränderung feststellen. 😌 Durch das Tagebuch glaube ich aber mittlerweile, dass die Schlafstörungen doch hormonell bedingt sind. 🙄
