Take a moment with me to just breath✨🌻 Take my hand and let's wonder into space, time, and into things out of the dimension🔮⭐ Your body is a universe of cells and atoms, moving and sparking, creating life. A walking energy field, electromagnetic energy. Quantum DNA evolution, when you expand your mind and your heart; you expand your electrical and magnetic field. This changes your frequency and dimension on which you vibrate. "If you are quiet enough you will hear the universe flow through you. Meditation allows you to immerse with this energy... It is a portal. Quiet your mind. Allow the flow. Become one." 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🌻✨🔮✨

Giving credit to all of the mamas who get back out there post baby and to every person ever who’s reconnected with something they love after a hiatus of any kind. It’s not easy but it is worth the struggle. ❤️
Love yourself and embrace change. Flow with the sight of new things and flow in the present. Breathe and let loose, encourage change in yourself and life. You are supposed to be here in the present, living your life in this present time.✨🌻 .

Moving how it feels good. Movement has always been my medicine, my constant, my biggest call to creativity. Grateful for the time and space to play and find my muscles and mobility. 💜
“I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.” - John Burroughs
We are a week or so into 2019 and this is the time when our ambitious beginnings begin to meet reality. Overwhelm might be setting in. The "to-do" list looks al little too long. It might even be worse than that and we feel down-right broken. ⠀
Don't let that brokenness make you give up! Take a breath. Regroup. And wake up tomorrow morning and start again. J.K. Rowling was so poor and beat down and by all estimations she was an epic failure...then she wrote Harry Potter. Michael Jordan reminds his fans that while he's had the privilege to have the winning shot 26 times, he's also missed over 9000 shots on the court in his career. 9000!⠀
Failures don't mean you're losing...you could be on the other side of a big win. Don't give up!⠀

As simple as that🦋✨
The cells in your body react to everything your mind says. You quite literally have to ability to shift your self and your reality by shifting your thought pattern. Our minds are quantum computers👩💻
Our subconscious mind intakes 11,000,000 bits/second of data but selects 126 bits/second to share with the conscious thought. When changing your perception you can change your programming which everyone has. These programs are picked up from childhood, trauma or anything the mind sees as fundamental; these programs can as be seen as instincts. By changing your programming you can change your reality, that is why healing and caring for yourself is very important✨ There is empirical evidence showing that the mind does indeed influence matter on both a subatomic quantum scale and at scales that consistent with classical physics🔮🧘✨🦋 "Learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else" - Leonardo da Vinci .

Tour complete! So much gratitude for the man himself @iceman_hof
for having me apart of this epic journey downunder. Learnt a ton! Thank you 🙏🏻 *
Over the past 3 weekends I’ve tagged along with the crew...capturing some content along the way partnered with some deep breathwork, cold plunges, workouts and connecting with an amazing group of humans who seek out the answers to live in their full power ⚡️you know who you are
Onto Noosa Heads today after wrapping up the last Gold Coast event yesterday. Also big thanks to those who accommodated me along the way from Melbourne to Sydney to Brisbane. Merry Christmas 🎄 everybody...wishing you happiness, strength and health on the new year ahead...we out here 2019 #elementhealthnz
🌸Finding your centre:
With the holidays just around the corner, many of us are frantically buying last minute gifts, prepping meals, and heading to parties. With so many things to do and expectations to fulfil… you may be feeling depleted, overwhelmed and stressed out during what is meant to be a joyous time. ⠀
I've put together some of my favourite practices I use to help me find my centre (I hope they help you too :) ⠀
~ Equal Breathing: lying on your back, bring your attention to your left toes. On your next inhale, imagine your breath making its way up your left side (left knee, hip, shoulder) all the way to the crown of your head. On your exhale, allow your breath to trickle down the right side of your body (right shoulder, hip, knee, toes). On your next inhale, allow your breath to make its way up the right side of your body, and your exhale to draw down the left side. Continue in this manner, altering sides, inviting your inhales and exhales to eventually be of equal lengths. ⠀
~ Celebrate your victories (big and small): instead of dwelling on all the things you have left to do, take a moment to jot down all the incredible things you've accomplished this year! The projects you’ve completed, inspiring connections made, adventures and challenges you've overcome. Yeah, you're amazing! ⠀
~ Gratitude: When we are thankful for what we have, we are less prone to get hung up on things that did not go the way we expected. We are more accepting of how things unfold and generally more content, because ultimately we know, there is always something to be grateful for. Take a moment and jot down 3 things you are grateful for today. ⠀
~ Move! Movement in medicine. When we get our bodies moving, we are pumping fresh oxygen to our cells and flushing out stagnant energy. Don’t worry “how” you move, tap into your intuition and let your body guide you.⠀

I’ve been off the radar for a while, doing what I love most – camping 🏕 and connecting with family and nature 🏞. After a busy and intense few months, I feel like I am finally able to breathe again. .
Anxiety and stress, brought on by our fast paced lives causes rapid and shallow breathing, making it hard to breathe.😞 Continuous high levels of stress can wreak havoc on our wellbeing: physically, 🤕 mentally and emotionally; 😭therefore it is VITAL to learn effective ways to reduce stress. .
Deep and slow belly breathing is a great way to manage and reduce stress levels, but it also has many other benefits such as regulating blood pressure, improving memory 🤯 and, when used in combination with other techniques, it could help with depressive and painful disorders. .
There are many disciplines 🧘♀️ that incorporate deep breathing such as Tai Chi, Yoga, Low pressure fitness or even deep breathing exercises done at home or work. The trick is to find a technique that suits YOUR lifestyle. .
When things are going out of control, focus on your breathing…😤 .
You may not be able to control a stressful situation, but you CAN control your breathing!
Holidaying (vacationing) every week? Lol, surely no one does that! We can totally infuse our daily lives with recharging and uplifting holiday magic though.
What is it about holidays that you absolutely love? Free time, freedom, relaxation, more sleep, more time for hobbies, exploration, connection, feeling joyful, enjoying life more?
Now pick one aspect of holidaying that lights you up and brings you joy just thinking about it…….
Don’t overthink it, just go with whatever pops into your head first. How can you infuse your day to day life with some of this activity or emotion?
🔸Love reading? Can you carve 15-20mins for your favourite book?
🔸Craving more sleep? Can you go to bed 30mins earlier?
🔸Could do with more joy mid-week? How about putting a song on and dancing as if nobody's watching?
🔸Love chats? Can you call a friend or two for a quick natter during the week?
🔸Finding relaxing difficult? How about a hot bath one or two evenings a week?
All these activities create shifts pretty quickly and can be super energising & invigorating. Life is a sum of moments here and there which combined have a profound effect on how we perceive the world.
‘The whole is greater than the sum of its parts’.
Life is meant to be enjoyable! How can you scatter moments of pleasure throughout the week so you don’t live from weekend to weekend or worse, holiday to holiday?
Identify major stressors and sources of unhappiness and start focussing on improving these areas. Step by step.
A total cliche, but life truly is for LIVING, LAUGHING, ENJOYING, LOVING. 💖
Am I starting to coordinate with my walk, or is #HambrookMarshes
coordinating with me?
🚫 I do not go around punching people, and neither should you. Violence and abuse are not Ok.
Now that this is out of the way, let’s talk yoga.🧘♀️
It’s all the rage these days, especially on Instagram. You see all these instructors, making impossible acrobatic postures look like a walk in the park. Is it just the latest trend?
I used to think yoga was not for me. Aside from hot yoga, which is technically cardio and close the death at times.
It was just super slow and boring for my 100 miles an hour moving mind. And life. However many times I tried it, 5 mins in and I was done.
So, what changed? For starters, I slowly slowed down (a loong process, mind you), my mind and my body did a big exhale out of the constant state of moving.
And I kept trialing new classes from time to time, just to confirm to myself that yoga was still boring.
✔ Until I tried an online class about 4 years ago I actually enjoyed. A few more followed. I ended up creating my own little 20 min routine off the back of them.
What truly hooked me was how much more calm and clear headed I was feeling after.
And aside from enjoying all the stretching, I was quite shocked at the impact breathing had on me (diaphragm, alternate nostrils etc.). Peace is addictive!
I learnt about proper breathing ages ago, but found it difficult to stick to it. Again, too slow for me!
The power of slow, belly breaths is just phenomenal. It instantly calms us and it switches on the parasympathetic nervous system - aka, rest and digest mode. And weight loss state! 😉
The modes of alertness and relaxation are mutually exclusive so a few deep belly breaths work like a charm at calming our bodies and hectic minds.
Stress relief at its quickest and easiest. Hey, if I can get into it, ANYONE can! 😍
It's a busy time of the year and anxiety & overwhem can rear their heads.
Just BREATHE. You got this! Happy Monday! 💖
Connecting with mother earth, just breathing and taking it all in. As I sit in the grass and let the sun warm my skin. I love sun gazing it is so peaceful and energizing. By sitting in the sun for 30 minutes or more you can help boost your immune system, strengthen electromagnetic energy also you can enhance your mood and energy🌈✨💞🔮 Sun rays can enter through your cornea as well and stimulate the pituitary/pineal gland, the effects are similar to meditation and yoga.

Not enjoying what you are doing? 🙈 Be true to yourself and do something you are really passionate about🌼
It sounds easier than it really is. Finding your own passion is journey itself. I'm still not sure what my passion is, not even who I am.
As you all probably know, I'm dealing with anxiety, but also sloght depression and chronic fatigue. Not very enjoyable 😕
I got to the point where I didn't know who I truely am because I have spent YEARS trying to please others and fulfill their expectations from me🌚
It's time to stop that🛑
This is MY life. I should decide what I want to do with MY life 🌝
Let me tell you, It's hard. I'm clueless at the moment. After a long time I have to make decisions and think for myself, but I believe that it will get easier over the time 😊
✨There are a few thing I have learned so far✨
1️⃣ Your life is in your hands and you are responsible for every decision you make💁🏼♀️
2️⃣ Living for yourself makes you feel free🦋
3️⃣ Alonetime in café reading or lightly working is my fave☕️
4️⃣ Going to gym without feeling that you are obligated to do is relaxing😌
5️⃣ Getting rid of toxic people is much needed
6️⃣ Listen to your gut ❤️
The last one is GOLDEN. Listening to my gut helped me make some decisions and I don't regret any of them. No joke, I sleep much better and even my anxiety isn't that bad as it used to be. Maybe I'm ready to start meditating again 🤩
If you want to talk about this or you need any advice - send me a DM. I'll be happy to help 😉
Have an amazing Sunday and keep smiling!!😘✨
Especially when things are challenging... stand tall, feet firmly grounded with your heart open so that the wisdom of what’s happening can be received.

Hazel hiding under Camilles health charts trying (and failing with my interference) to pounce Camille. Camille has asthma and shes been having bad wheezing episodes the last few days. Because inhalers are $600 (!!!!!), we have her on short term steroids. This happens every change in season, but it never gets easier. Her preventive meds and our dyson purifier keep her alright until then. We always feel so helpless until she can be seen. 😥 I tried to snap a pic but my phone in her face was upsetting her. I'll keep you all posted! Wish her well.

Grief is a right rollercoaster. Of the tallest, most extreme kind.
You go through so many emotions, often in the space of a day. It’s exhausting.
It’s true that most of us, unless we have experienced it AND studied it, don’t know what to say to people.
When I lost my dad, a lot of people just withdrew. They simply didn’t know what to say beyond the initial condolences.
Grief makes us feel awkward, it’s right there with mental health in terms of how unequipped we are as a society to deal with it.
It’s very much a taboo subject. Just in case a spillage of emotions comes out of nowhere and we don’t have a *ready* answer for how to make things right for someone.
thing this horrible loss taught me (yes, it was horrible, there is no point dressing it up and seeking a silver lining) is this.
When we are going through hard times, grief or otherwise, we want to be SEEN, HEARD & UNDERSTOOD.
Our situation and feelings VALIDATED.
We do NOT want or need to be rescued, be reminded about all the good stuff that is in our lives or in front of us.
We do NOT need pity.
We do NOT need special plans in place to make us feel better.
We do NOT need to be fixed.
We need to be ACCEPTED as we are, right in this moment.
Consider this next time you’re faced with a situation where people are grieving or something is not right in their lives.
Give them SPACE. They may or may not want to talk to you or see you. It’s ok, it’s not about you.
Let them know you’re there for them (in whatever way this feels right for you).
I didn’t want to face the world in the initial stages, but it was comforting to know that some people were there for me. Some sent brief messages, some sent food over. It’s all good.
And then i wanted to face all the world, and even party. YES, much to the bewilderment of some. This was a step in the journey of processing the immense grief and shock. My step.
There is no one right way to do this. Everyone does it in their own way. Do not judge or give people a grieving blueprint. There isn't one.
Just be there ❤
P.S. Post was prompted by a video I saw.🙂
⁉️ ‘I am eating clean and going to gym 5 x a week for an hour, yet I still can’t lose any weight!’
⁉️ ‘I only slept 5 hours last night / I was feeling too tired this morning / I am under the weather
I showed up and exercised / I didn’t give up / I followed through and was consistent.’
✅ I’ve had several exercise-loving clients with this *issue*.
Except it is not so much an issue, but rather the body doing what the body is designed to do.
Leaving the health benefits aside (numerous), exercise is STRESS for the body. Especially aerobic (endurance) movement.
It raises the levels of the stress hormone cortisol.
Elevated cortisol for longer periods leads to fat storage, especially around the belly. Hm, no thanks!
It’s pretty impossible to lose weight and sustain it when the body is in a stress mode.
Well, guess what accerbates this dynamic? Any type of stress - physiological, mental, emotional. The body does not differentiate.
So lack of sleep, feeling tired, feeling a bit under the weather, thinking about an uncomfortable conversation you need have tomorrow, your full inbox, a quarrel with a family member, thinking about your never ending to-do list…
It is ALL stress.
Hence why it is highly recommended to stay away from high intensity movement when you’re in that state (it is the reason why it is much easier to have an injury when not feeling quite your usual self).
SO WHAT DO YOU DO?
➡️ When tired, focus on nourishing your body and if you feel like moving, choose something gentler - walking, yoga, stretching, deep belly breathing, tai chi, pilates …
➡️ Mix your exercise styles - short periods of high intensity training have been shown to raise cortisol significantly less. It doesn’t mean you can’t go for a run, but perhaps not 7 days a week.
➡️ Endurance exercise is generally not a recommended activity for women, on a regular basis, especially after 35 - 40, as it messes up our hormones.
➡️ HIIT and muscle building movements, on the other hand, are very beneficial for mood & hormone balance. Plus you can be done in 20 mins so a win-win! Continued ⤵️

The secret to having it all, is knowing that you already do.
As we head into the winter months, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with the chaos the holidays can sometimes bring. This season I am in the thick of it.
But I love this time of the year. With the cold weather comes a cozier home, and an awareness to treat myself with more care. It’s a time to manifest abundance, in health, wealth, love and happiness.
If you haven’t already signed up for our newsletter do so today! You’ll be in the know for upcoming workshops and product specials, like the Wellness Workshop on Dec. 29th.
Join us in the work of letting go & renewal.
We’ll start the morning with a practice of Kundalini breathwork, followed by a Venus Gong Sound Bath, and meditation. From there, we’ll dive deeper into the process of manifestation and create personal vision boards using words, pictures, and mementos. At the end of the class you will feel restored and have a stronger sense of intention for the new year ahead.
Manifest Abundance. ✨

Connecting with nature is vital.
In the process of healing & tuning into our inner strength, there are necessary elements of getting back to our roots that come into play. Breathing fresh air, getting our feet connected to the ground or taking a plunge in some fresh water for example ❄️
These are some of aspects of our wellness retreats that are simple practices but with massive results leading our clients to reconnect with their true nature. Some may thinks ‘hippie’ to get outdoors and be a nature frother, but rarely do you come across a human that loves to hug concrete pillars 🏗 over a tree 🌳. It’s just not how we are made. The modern environment doesn’t allow for this space and some would say it radically effects our health to stay in cities all the time...Lucky in New Zealand we don’t have to look far to find epic nature...
No matter the practice, the foundation of all of this is primarily about getting outdoors. Where’s your favourite spot to reconnect and explore? We’d love to hear! Comment below 👇🏻#elementhealthnz
Mindset is everything ⚡️
When it comes to the practice of the 3 pillars of the #wimhofmethod
this is the most important. It correlates to how we show up in other areas of our life when we are looking to stay mentally focused & perform. Here are some tips from our team to stay in your optimal state:
1) Get centred before you drop in.
Whether it’s an ice bath 🛀 or your breath work, consciously centre your mind before you begin. Get your body & your mind as still as possible. Create an environment where there are zero chances disruption. By doing so you give yourself the best frame of mind to optimally perform in your practice by getting centred 👌🏻
2) Find your WHY.
Understanding why you are doing something is an important practice to introduce to your mindset. It emotionally invests your body & mind in what your doing. This is important because this practice is challenging at times, such as life and your WHY will pull you through the tough times so find what your why is for you on your journey.
3) Observe the reactive monkey mind. When you practice, a lot can come up such as mental chatter and that’s okay. It’s about tuning your mindset to observe its reactive state. Tune in to what comes up for you in your cold immersion practice or during your day to day. By observing, you are not attached and can shift your mindset with less struggle when your are observing the motions, and not going with them.
This is why this practice is the best teacher for your overall mindset. It shows you your fight or flight response in full force and also what comes up for your body & mental state when you step into the 3 pillars. It’s really important to tune in, to get to know yourself and to overall improve your wellbeing. Stay positive team! #elementhealthnz #wimhofmethod
🧘🏽♂️ B R E A T H E 🧘🏼♀️ it’s a new week! Let’s get it off to the best start. Lots of us are stuck in a habit of breathing too much with our upper rib cage... a pattern born out of stress, poor posture and even the desire to keep your tummy taut and tucked in. Physiologically this leaves us taking more shallow breaths which, in turn, upsets our whole body’s chemistry because of the relative amounts of oxygen and carbon dioxide being exchanged at the lungs. It leaves our brain believing we are in a stressful ‘fight or flight’ situation ⚡️ This does not sound like the best way to kick off a new week! Let’s shake things up today. Pay attention to your breathing pattern. Draw your breath all the way down to your belly and breathe like a Buddha. At a minimum, your blood pressure will lower, your heart rate will come down and you’ll give your hardworking neck and shoulder muscles a real break.
