I couldn't wait to try these chicken and waffles - Hong Kong cake, fried chicken thigh, haupia syrup, hot honey, sriracha, and basil! The bubble waffle had the perfect texture. Crisp outside and tender inside. The haupia syrup added a unique flavor to the dish. I'll be thinking about how to integrate it into my cooking! The chicken was delicious! I'll be back for this dish! You guys had asked me for some savory breakfast ideas a while back, so here I am! Today, I’m sharing this VEGAN SPINACH ARTICHOKE MUSHROOM QUICHE 😍🤤 It’s incredibly savory, filling, and the best part... super easy to make!
This recipe has two little tricks up its sleeve:
1. I use a store-bought frozen pie crust because like... I barely have the motivation to make crusts from scratch for fruit pie, much less for quiche! Most frozen pie crust is “accidentally” vegan since it’s usually made from shortening, not butter!
2. The “egg” filling is made of silken tofu that’s blended in the food processor til smooth and creamy 🙌🏼 Everything else is basically exactly the same as for normal quiche. Who said vegan food was hard, again? 🤔😉
