✂💈Friday manbun hairstyle , very stylish...👞🎩
Hey hi hello. Sorry I’ve been pretty MIA. With spring break and a crazy stressful week of school, the gym hasn’t been my top priority. Update I got a new phone (I am super excited about it) because my last one cellular data stopped working and I was past my update time so yay 😊😊. This week even tho I didn’t go to the gym as often as I would have liked I have been getting well over my 10k steps in each day, 30 min of activity and over 2500 calories burned daily thru my Fitbit which has been like my favorite thing ever. This is a picture from my wicked shoulder and arm day last night. The pump was pretty great. I know this is so rambley but we made it to the weekend so let’s all just be thankful, I know I am!

Food directly affects your mental health.
There is no coicendence that when you start eating a bunch of junk food you feel down, lethargic, heavy and a decrease in overall energy. Incorporating large amounts fresh greens and vegetables into my diet allows for me to feel light, have a crap ton of consistent sustainable energy, and assurres I keep my best hustle on(;
HEALTH IS WEALTH.
The food we put into our body affects our gut health, our gut produces serotonin! When serotonin is released that is the hormone that literally makes us feel happy. So eating more nutrient dense high quality whole foods literally allows us to lead a better life! •
Next time your feeling crappy check your diet and see if you can swap out some meals for healthier ones, betcha you’ll start feelin a lil better!
Get cho mind right, get cho body, right get cho greens in, and get that hustle on!
PS shout out to everybody who bout that burnt Brussels lifffe🤘🏼😛
If it isn’t love it’s fear
January of last year @flightsocialmedia
launched my ‘Take Flight’ internship program and since then we have had 5 rounds of the 9 week course 🎉.
I started the internship with college students in mind in hopes of helping them learn from different experiences I’ve had throughout my career all while having the ability to see the ins and outs of a startup company.
Since not every college student or recent graduate can commit to a 9-week course, I’ve been working on something that will be available for students to work through on their own time. This project has been on my mind since I moved to New York, summer of 2014. 😊
Hence the photoshoot @malibubeachinn
two weeks ago....and with that I’ll simply say, “stay tuned!”
I often get asked why I wear a "bean" around my neck. For many of you who don't know, I was born with Vesicoureteral Reflux, a condition in which urine back-flows into the kidney(s) causing severe permanent damage if not detected early. Unfortunately that was the case with me when my kidney almost ruptured at the age of 2, requiring several emergency surgeries on my kidney, ureter & bladder. A chunk of my childhood was spent in & out of hospitals, having endless tests run and traveling to see the best specialists in the province. As I've aged my kidney function continued to deteriorate (getting as low as 8% 🙀) resulting in the removal of my right kidney almost 6 years ago (Thanks to the top Urologist in Calgary, he’s my life saver!!) Although my health is not 100% and I still deal with reoccurring stubborn kidney infections that leave me in the hospital for days on end, I'm incredibly grateful for the life I live. I wear this kidney bean for the kidney I lost and as a little reminder to myself to properly care for the kidney I still have (especially since its function is not always ideal😭). March is National Kidney Month & today marks World Kidney Day, so do yourself a favour friends and get your kidneys screened!! If you battle with diabetes, hypertension (like me) or have a family history of kidney failure your screening is FREE, so no excuses! 💚 Never take your health for granted, we only live once!! 🙃
This time last week shooting at my favorite hotel in Malibu, @malibubeachinn
, for an upcoming project I’ve been working on 🎉.
This BTS shot 📸 is by my AMAZING friend @harleyellenderr
who took off work early to come and assist at the shoot!!! She even offered to be Maui’s keeper and chauffeur. She is one of the sweetest people I know. She believes in me and encourages me to go after my dreams with a genuine happiness for my success. Rare, wonderful and precious to me!
Get yourself a Harley! 💘
