It's so easy, tastes great, works if you like to meal prep and it's make-ahead friendly so it works well for moms and really anyone who's just super busy. It's also easy to modify! Vegetarian? Sub in veggie sausage or omit. Gluten-free? Exchange farro for brown rice.

Our farmers grow these little brassicas slowly for the very best flavour and harvest them by hand. They’re tricky to grow organically, but worth it for the flavour. They taste great roasted or shredded into stir fries, or simply enjoy boiled or steamed.
Brussels sprout tops are commonly seen as an allotment grower’s perk, the leafy tops are often overlooked in the race to harvest the sprouts in the lead up to Christmas.
Use the leaves in the same way you would cabbage, kale or sprouts. They wilt beautifully in a little oil or butter as a simple side of greens.

Lets talk sprouts! They are little powerhouse balls of nutrients providing over 240% DV of vitamin K, over 125% DV of vitamin C , almost 25% DV folate as well as many other important nutrients.
PubMed has close to 100 studies published on Brussels sprouts. Over half focus on the benefits of Brussels sprouts and cancer, while others document the detox benefits.
I will admit, until a few years ago, i wouldn't even touch a sprout. I had one bad taste and wrote them off.
Then i learned how to prepare them. Two tips.
1. Don't over cook; lightly saute or roast.
2. Add ghee, bacon grease or *duck fat, and season well with garlic, pepper and sea salt.
Dont forget, besides adding flavor, healthy fat allows the body to utilize the nutrients found in Brussels sprouts. If you aren't absorbing the nutrients, they aren't doing you any good. So go ahead, add that fat. 👍🏻

It must be fall because Brussels sprouts are back on the menu! 🍁 Roasted with shallots, bacon lardons, and apple cider vinegar 🍎
1. Heat oil & butter over a medium high heat and sauté sprouts for 3–4 minutes or enough time to begin to brown.
2. Add lime zest, ginger and leeks and sauté for a further 5 minutes.
3. Season with salt & pepper and serve with lime juice.
