I think I’m in a bulking phase? lol or at least that’s what I’m going to tell myself. My end goal is to be at a more sustainable calorie level and to gain more lean muscle mass. Can’t make progress with out being uncomfortable though. In September I was 17% body fat using a Tanita scale(measured in this exact same machine) and yesterday I measured 23% body fat. I’d be lying if I said that didn’t bother me. However looking at my body and not the scale I still see continual progress. Exactly 3 years ago today. On the left 2015 *weighing around 145* I was in my senior year of high school Playing football and I guess I had pretty decent sized arms then. I was doing different training then so I look more tight and lean and explosive vs now , 2018 , 21 years old now weighing 177 pounds and having changed to powerlifting and focusing on strength and size that comes along with it, I am definitely proud of how far I came! results don’t come easy fast or aren’t greatly noticeable!This takes time and effort ! 1 year & 10 kgs difference! The photo on the left was taken exactly a year ago where I felt uncomfortable with my body after having recovered from an eating disorder (anorexia) over the 2 years before this photo and which led to a little more weight gain than expected as I ate absolutely all of the foods 😂 I went from 0-100 real quick from 2015-2017 I gained about 13kgs (some of which was needed for sure!) but I definitely indulged a little too much. The photo on the right was taken yesterday, over the past year I have followed a low carb diet (though it’s more just a way I like to eat, not a ‘diet’ as such), I have exercised about 4-5 times a week and even recently having had a month off training due to injury and sickness. I now love where my body is sitting and bought my first pair of shorts in ages this week and feel confident in them finally! I’ve lost 10kgs the HEALTHY way and eight loss has never come this easy for me. I’m so happy I’ve found my balance and my body is no longer in starvation mode. Onwards and upwards and I am certainly never going back 👊🏻 PS: Props to @muscle.x I can’t thank you enough, I could never have dreamed to have such an amazing company take me on a sponsored athlete and you guys help to fuel my passion every day 💘
