KNOW - SQUATS - Breaking parallel.... sounds like a tv show. That is the golden rule when it comes to squatting: break parallel. - There is no doubt some people may have mobility issues that prevent them from exercising their full range of motion, but squatting to full depth is far more effective than doing partial squats. - The more tension that is placed on a muscle (and the more time that the muscle is placed under tension), the more muscle fiber is recruited, this is key when it comes to increasing muscle size and strength. - You may be able to lift more weight when doing partial squats, but your muscles will be getting more of a workout by going to full depth. The time under tension you put on your muscles will be significantly increased, and more muscle fibers will be recruited to handle the load when you squat to depth. - In a 2013 study, ‘physically active’ male students were randomly assigned to 12 weeks of progressive squat training, performed as either a deep squat or a partial squat. The full squat group gained 1.2 kg of muscle, increased lower body muscle mass by 2 percent, and increased thigh muscle cross-sectional area by 4 to 7 percent, depending on the part of the leg measured. How do you eat all this stuff and not become so fat?... It is not fair that you can eat this stuff... - Unfortunately I don't eat this all the time... People get the wrong conception that you can eat like crap and expect results. With social media and flexible dieting... People think you can eat whatever you want... That's not how it works. - To be honest with you... I planned this meal out.. I know I didn't have much food today and was craving halal. Now if I already went through a day of eating.. I wouldn't have chose this. You can eat whatever you want, but you just have to be aware and plan for it. - 💪For the most part... I eat a pretty simple and "clean" diet... throughout the week. I'm not eating this type of stuff for weeks on end. If that's the case I would be holding on more fat right now. As of now since I am in the process of gaining weight. I have the flexibility to eat stuff like this because of the amount of calories I am currently consuming. - Now if I wanted to lose weight... this is not the best option since I can eat something more filling. - Whoever tells you that you can eat crap everyday for all your meals.... Is a fucking liar... Those people are eating "clean" for the most part. And then they post themselves indulging some burgers with a six pack showing... 😂 - Losing weight and changing how your body looks is not easy. But it doesn't have to be miserable... I was 356 lbs and borderline diabetic, hypertension, sleep apnea, problems with sciatica/back pain ,and leg pain all from being morbidly obese. My weight was not only affecting my health, but my job as I’m a hairdresser. I’m on my feet all day and there were days I really struggled just to make it through the work day. When I did get home I was barely able to get out of my car to my front door, that’s how much pain I would be in on a daily basis. I’ve been overweight almost all my life starting at a very early age. On January 18, 2017 I had the Loop Duo Denal Switch (bariatric Surgery) done. Never thought I would go from 356 lbs to 125lbs .This all just seems surreal to me! I’m so happy with my decision to have bariatric surgery, it’s saved my life! I have my health back!!!! Take a look at Amy’s story! “To many people the holidays mean multiple family gatherings 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦with lots of food 🥘, desserts 🍰, drinks 🥂 and many pictures 🤳📸 to capture the wonderful moments. For me most of those gatherings meant overeating 🤢, sugar highs 😖, hangovers 🤕, and hiding 🤦🏽‍♀️ from as many pics as possible. I enjoyed spending time with my family but it was sooo exhausting. 😫 Spending several hours to find something that fit... feeling already tired by the time I walked the room to tell everyone hi. 😴 Carrying around 300# every day was not an easy task and trying to smile while doing that was even harder.
