This meal came in a really generous portion. Yummy and juicy Japanese grilled meat and vegetable skewers were addictive 🍡 while the rice grains cooked to perfection, being soft and fluffy. 🍚 The piece of seaweed was crispy and delightful to munch on too!
Haven’t been here in a long time and it was still as comforting as I remembered! I had the Beef Omu Rice which the beef was tender and juicy while the omelette being jiggly and yummy as usual. The curry gravy was flavourful and thick in its texture and paired well with the bed of soft rice grains. Overall, I really loved the smooth consistency. 🍛 - 🧑🏻
Satisfied my cravings with Durian-Mango Ice Kacang. As usual, the inner kid in me was intrigued by the vibrant colours which thankfully the flavours justified too. The durian was slightly overpowering while the mango acted in a 'supporting' role. Overall, it was still a refreshing and delightful combination 🍧 - 🧑🏻
👩🏻 let her 🧑🏻 out with his army buddies and they went for karaoke 🎤 Snacks and drinks paired well with 'melodic' singing, best combination 😂 - 🧑🏻
This braised pork ribs mee was decent and aromatic. The noodles paired well with the core sauce while the pork ribs were braised in perfection, not overly thick in its flavour and the meat being really tender. Pretty satisfied with my meal 😊 - 🧑🏻
Prawn Kway Teow Bee Hoon Soup. Same teacher/ master as the beach road prawn mee and east coast road prawn mee with each of them partnering a wu xiang stall as well. I have no preferred outlet as all three of them are delicious enough for me.
Address: Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee. 2 Jln Ayer, Singapore 389141.
Opening Hours: Daily: 8.00am to 3.30pm (Closed on Tuesdays)
Chiak means eat in dialect - Hokkien. Chicken rice set ($7.50) first time eat cold chicken and i don’t like it ☹️ but rice quite fragrant and not oily. Assam laksa ($5) so satisfying and Jiak sotong ($4.5) super salty!!! ☹️
In 2009, Singapore generated 606,100 tonnes of food (comparable to 3,565 CCL MRT trains). Over the past decade, the face and figure of food wastage has gone uglier and in worse shape. Let’s hope we won’t be shocked by our figure 10 years on! Join us in saving food this Year of Zero Waste while savouring the best of food! #2009vs2019 #10yearchallenge #treatsure
•Hojicha (Roasted Tea) Parfait•
Let's get this par-TEA started with some delicious Hojicha Parfait!
Being the matcha lover I am, I also really enjoy Hojicha as there is a very distinctive deep and almost caramel-like flavour, with absolutely no bitter aftertaste. Served in a cone, this hojichaa soft serve is sprinkled with a specially formulated hojicha powder and topped with a hojicha custard wafer roll!
Even less sweet than the Matcha Parfait and containing a great amount of hojicha flavour, this soft serve is PERFECT for those who do not have sweet tooths!

Sedap! Nasi Lemak cooks its rice with butterfly pea flower, giving it its natural blue colour. Although it looked pretty, it tasted unfortunately ordinary. The rice grains would have been better if both the fragrance and flavour can be more stronger.
The chicken wing was decent but could have been served hot and more crispy for a better experience. I'm also thankful that the fried egg came good as it was prepared on the spot and the runny yolk was perfect! 🍳 It also came along with the usual ikan bilis and peanuts which was crispy and addictive.
Overall, I feel that the accompanying sambal chilli (they've the Singapore and Malaysia version) was the saving grace of the entire dish whereby it was rendered nicely. It was aromatic, packed a punch and were delightful with the rice. 🌶

Gorgeous Auspicious Hamachi Yusheng, Bountiful Abalone Pen Cai, Pink Steamed Fortune Dumplings.
The Auspicious Hamachi Yusheng, created by Group Executive Chef Martin Foo, is a play on novel ingredients, flavours and textures.
It features a selection of seafood including salmon roe and sea grapes (umibodo), providing a burst of briny flavour.
To add crunch, pork floss rolls are added, a fitting welcome to the Year of the Pig.

Matcha Berry Mochi Waffles 🥞 Was having a high expectation on the mochi waffles (thinking it will taste like the one at Brother Bird) but it was kinda disappointing because it just tasted like uncooked waffles with matcha 🙃 I mean it's pretty chewy but not what I was expecting haha. The dark chocolate ice cream was overly sweet too. Overall it's a #myheartisokie

Braised Shortribs —$42++
The epitome of melting-in-your-mouth ala carte braised shortribs and surprisingly it paired really well with the mandarin orange peel. Giving the short ribs a refreshing citrus yet sweet taste. Also, the Imperial Pot of Prosperity Pencai was so generous in their 13 ingredients. Besides Sea Cucumber, Fish Maw, Scallops, my favourite dried oyster & black moss, it features unique Braised Irish Duck and Whole Pig Trotter that are pretty rare these days. Well, the true indulgence comes from the Australian 3-head Abalones each perfectly braised and absorbed the full flavours. Available in 2 sizes: Large-$1,088/10pax and Small- $688/5pax.
Set Menus are available too starting from $108/pax for 4-8pax and $2088 for a total of 10pax. And one of my favourite dishes from the set menu would be the Deepfried Lobster with appetising Passionfruit Mayonnaise & Cereal to give that extra crunch. Also, the Double-boiled fish maw in almond superior stock. I really love the flavours of the seafood superior broth coming together with a light tinge of almond cream at the end. It was not overwhelming and i finished every bit of the goodness together with super thick fish maw! Set menus include one of the most indulgent yusheng out there with Lobster, Sea Urchin, Hokkaido Scallop, Tuna, Salmon, Caviar & Crispy Fish ($268/Large). Alternative options of yusheng is also available at $158/large and $88/small.
I felt my face definitely become more boingy after this collagen-packed meal, and especially so after ending the meal with Double-boiled Almond Cream with Birdsnest in mini pumpkin ($68/pax). Ikr.
Available daily now till 19 Feb. For reservations, please call 68314605. Located at level 3 of Singapore Marriott along 320 Orchard Road.
Delicious banhmi from the street stall at only $1.20, such quality is so hard to find in Singapore!
Lets make a toast. かんぱい! 🍶 Thank you bro for the gifts from Japan!
We checked it the revamped MO Bar recently, and here’s the Mother of dragon drink, inspired by Vietnam’s Halong Bay! Other than the bold cocktails, there are some good bar bites on the menu like this Japanese Somen Noodles which we wouldn’t mind having for supper now.
Super good bowl of Wanton noodles. Chewy noodles (on the thicker and firm side) with their spicy chilli sauce 🌶 = SHIOK! 10 mins queue even at 9pm.

Club Sandwich (SGD $17) @ Lots Gourmet.
Unlike traditional versions, they've replaced the white bread with foccacia bread instead, which has a spongy soft texture, and a light bready sweet flavour.
Garnished with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, grilled chicken fillet, smoky bacon, and a fried egg. The combination of ingredients lend a layered savoury salty sweet smoky flavour.
Served with a side of fresh crisp vegetal sweet mesclun salad, and medium cut chips that have good potato flavour.
A decently tasty, filling dish. Also nicely approriate, seeing as the place is a clubhouse of sorts.

Fire Fire Fire Fire 🔥🎶
The highlight of Italian Restaurant, The Place, is the Bomba Pizza (폭탄피자). It is special because the staff will light up fire on the pizza and cut the pizza shell off. The pizza shell can then be eaten like a snack and dipped in either honey, tartar sauce and salsa!
The actual pizza itself is savoury and fruity, as it is made from mozzarella cheese, sliced almond, sliced walnuts, and topped with dried cranberries!
A great dining experience as both your eyes and taste buds are pleased ❤
