Cooked this pork belly & egg rice bowl for dinner last night. 😋 Since I received a lot of requests for this recipe, I’m sharing below! It’s really simple! Yes, everything I cook have to simple, cannot do much with a baby to care.😅 It’s like chicken donburi, except I changed the chicken to pork belly! I’m using shabu shabu type of pork belly, which are thin stripes! Note that it’s not authentic Japanese donburi cooking, I’m using whatever sauces I have at home. The taste turns out to be good too! That’s what the hubby says.🤣 .
Thin pork belly, sliced into half
1 large onion, thinly sliced
3 large eggs, beaten
Cooked rice ( I served with brown rice)
1 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp light soy sauce
Spring onion (optional) .
1. In a cooking pan, add water, mirin and light soy sauce. Bring to simmer then add sliced onions. When the onions have soften, add sliced pork belly. Bring to simmer.
2. Pour in the beaten egg, distribute evenly over the pan. When the egg is almost cooked (runny and moist texture), turn off the heat.
3. Serve over the cooked rice and top with some spring onions. #lir0ngskitchen #lirongsrecipe

Crowd favourite plenty of weeks ago! Certainly lived up to its namesake.
Reminds of a pecan dulce de leche pie without the pecans of course, with its gooey consistency. Replaced with a basic biscuit crust but it still turned out yummy! A crack pie 2.0 maybe in the near future... (speculoos? baileys?) to use up all the biscuits I have before moving out!

Super Avocado Toast ($20++) with smashed avocado on grilled sourdough, topped with feta cheese, pickled jicama, pico de gallo, jalapenos, poblano and a poached egg. Talk about a loaded toast! This was one of the best avocado toast I have ever had.
The other dish was Chorizo y Papa Enchilada ($17++), consisting of smoked chorizo, avocado crema, shredded chilli chicken, salsa pipian verde and a poached egg.
I do want to come back here to try the other stuff.

Had a wonderful time watching FIFA World Cup finals with Ah Mah. Well, not grandma but Ah Mah Homemade Cake. Happily, indulge in brand new chocolate flavour- Choco-Nana with a peace of mind 'cause Ah Mah Homemade Cake does not contain any preservative or artificial flavouring. But anyway, my cake is gone in two days. Choco-Nana cake is blended with a hint of banana, melted chocolate shavings and topped with chocolate chips. High Tea Degustation
I haven’t had high tea in quite a while and this visit to L’éclair by Sarah Michelle made me wonder why I have not been having more of such indulgences.
Firstly the savouries: my fav was the Signature Mini Chicken & Bacon Pie. There was a hint of sweetness in the filling and the crust was really really soft and fluffeh.
Next the sweets: my fav was the Salted Caramel but that’s probably I’m biased towards caramel. For those of you looking for more unique flavours, try the Kaya Pandan or the Ispahan (I tasted rose and lychee).
