This was their new CroToast, a croissant crossed with a toast. The result was an enhanced version of the Shibuya toast-alike, but with that crispy croissant finishing.
Beside the perfect matcha and azuki match, they had cleverly paired this with a shot of espresso. Having the CroToast dipped in warm espresso then eaten with azuki and cold matcha ice cream, this dessert was such a beautiful marriage of hot and cold, sweet and bitter. I fell in love with it already.

Bouncy fishballs, extremely fresh and with a light drop on the noodles just bounces right up. Easties are no stranger to the little eatery - Song Kee Fishball Noodles.
We had the $6 option (were told they don’t serve $4 anymore) and it was sinful delightful. The thick springy kway teow soaks up the sauces well. Noodles are tossed with hae bee giving a sweet flavour and the chili provides a slight heat in the background, without being too overpowering. The fresh fishballs are really chewy, and the soup is clear and refreshing with lettuce.
What stood out was the “herh keow” or fish wanton - made with Malaysian yellowtail fish, the grippy texture of the skin with tapioca flour surrounding the succulent minced meat mixed with shallots and fried garlic made for a tasty morsel.
Awesome dinner and totally worth a visit again!

Might have found my new favourite Bak Chor Mee right here in Redhill Hawker Centre. #yinksEats Quan Xiang Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle 泉香香菇肉脞面 (#01 -80) was recommended to me by someone who loves their meatballs. But I ended up ordering the Abalone BCM instead, & I loved it!
Ever so slightly vinegary, with the right amount of heat from the chilli such that I feel shiok, but am not left gasping for air or water. The mee pok noodles were bouncy & made every bite so pleasant. The "abalone" slices were pretty generous in quantity as well.
The soup wasn't too special, but paired well with the noodles - although I must say that I did lap it all up (I normally don't finish these kinds of soups)
OK next time I'm here, I shall try the meatballs. 😍
