OATS BHEL !! Delicious and healthy.
It is very simple to make and you can add or change ingredients as per your choice and availability.
2 cup of mixed sprouts (any sprout of your choice)
1 cup of dry roasted oats
1/2 cup boiled chick peas
1/2 cup boiled soybeans
1/2 cup steamed corn
1/2 cup pomegranate
1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts
1/2 cup carrots and cucumber chopped
1 tomato chopped
1/2 onion ( small) chopped
1/2 cup lettuce chopped
1 tablespoon dry roasted flax seeds
2 tablespoon sunflower seeds
Fresh coriander chopped
1/2 lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt (or any salt)
Green chilly chopped (optional)
Dry roast and oats, peanuts , fkax seeds on medium heat for about 5 minutes each.
Boil the chick peas and soybeans
Steam the corn and peel the pomegranate
Chop the carrots, cucumber , lettuce , onions , tomato and coriander .
Mix everything together and enjoy 😄😄 Trust me this is a complete meal in itself and so filling. Do give it a try m sure you will love it.

🔷A recipe for tuna fans .
طريقة العجينة الأساسية موجودة بالهايلايت نشكلها طابات
٤٠٠ غرام تونا معلبة مصفاة من الزيت
بصلة كبيرة مقطعة مربعات صغيرة
١ حص ثوم مفروم
٢ ملعقة صغيرة معجون طماطم
١/٢ ملعقة صغيرة معجون حر أو أكثر (اختياري)
١ كوب ماء
٢ ملعقة كبيرة زيت زيتون
كمية من الزيتون المنزوع النوى حسب الرغبة
في طنجرة على النار نضع زيت الزيتون والبصل والثوم حتى يتحمروا. نضيف معجون الطماطم ومعجون الحر ونطبخهم مع البصل لمدة نصف دقيقة ثم نضيف التونا والماء والملح والفلفل ونتركهم على النار حتى يغلي ثم نطفئ النار ونتركهم يبردوا. نزيد الزيتون في الحشوة أو على الوجه بعد تشكيل القوارب.
نرق العجينة بشكل بيضاوي ونضع الحشوة بالطول على وسط العجينة. نغلق العجينة من طرفين على شكل قارب ونزين الوسط بالزيتون. نخبزها في الفرن حتى تتحمر العجينة. .
Basic dough (recipe in highlights) made into balls
400 grams canned tuna drained from oil
Large onion cut into small cubes
1 garlic clove cut into small cubes
2 tbs olive oil
2 tsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp chili paste or more (optional)
1 cup water
salt and pepper
Olive pieces (quantity to taste)
In a pot over heat, put olive oil, onions, and garlic, and cook until golden brown. Add tomato paste and chili paste and cook for 1/2 minute. Add tuna, water, salt and pepper and cook until they boil. Remove from heat and let cool. You can add olives inside the filling or on top of the filling in the boats. Roll the dough balls into oval shape, add the filling along the center of the dough, close the dough from two opposite ends in a boat shape. Garnish the top of the boats with some olives. Bake in oven until dough is golden brown in color.

As promised, below I’ve listed some of the best sources of protein which can be found in plants! Protein is incredibly important for maintaining a healthy mind & including protein at every meal can help significantly! 👇🏼
Tofu/tempeh: 1 serve = 20g protein
Lentils: 1 cup cooked = 18g protein
Beans & legumes: 1 cup cooked = 15g protein
Hemp seeds: 3tblspn = 10g protein
Quinoa: 1/2 cup cooked = 7-9g protein
Nuts & seeds: 1/4 cup = 7-9g protein
Spirulina: 2tblspn = 8g protein
Chia seeds: 2tblspn = 4g protein .
Remember that it’s important to ensure your meals have healthy carbs and fats, fibre and vitamin and minerals - and although protein is important, it’s just one piece of the puzzle! ➰

Happy Saturday!! 🙌🏼 It’s a slow & rainy day here today but I’m totally okay with that! We took it easy this morning and wandered off to our favourite cafe for a coffee and a bagel before ticking a few more Christmas presents off our list!
