I recently read that your Chinese zodiac year is unlucky. So seeing as it’s year of the pig and I’m a 1983 pig, i’m apparently f****. And, let’s be honest, February has been brutal so far. A flu virus knocking us all sideways, a painful breast infection that will not go away, the four month sleep regression and then some stressful family stuff happening have all rendered me (what feels like) useless.
This has meant that Gryff’s best mate has been CBeebies, Elwin’s new home is the jumperoo, and this morning we alI had chocolate cake for breakfast (there was some beetroot in it, I’m not a completely lost cause). I’ve relied heavily on @jon.tipler
to do all the cooking and cleaning, our stellar cast of neighbours to drive me to the doctor and watch over Gryff and friends to make me laugh when I’ve felt like things couldn’t get much darker. So when you think about it from that angle, you could say that I’m actually incredibly lucky. Plus we’ve recently discovered that Gryff loves disco dancing, so things are looking up. ✨🕺💥 #parenthoodunplugged #childhoodunplugged #letthembelittle #atthekitchentable #cakeforbreakfast #theartofslowliving #ourkitchenstories #cornersofourhome #ouryorkshirehome #startwithwhy
