3.1 Miles Tonight ✅
After my first marathon in January, I wasn’t sure what my next step would be in my running journey. Remember those commercials when you finish a tv series and are now in a show hole? 📺 I felt like I was in a marathon, race hole not knowing what was next. It’s harder to train when you don’t have a clear path in sight. So, what are my next steps:
1️⃣Finish the 9 + 1
I’m a 5k, 15k and a volunteer opportunity shy from qualifying for the NYC Marathon in 2019. All of those are on the calendar for December 🗓
For the rest of the year, I want to pivot back into weight lifting while still doing lighter runs. I want to focus on increasing muscle and overall strength.
3️⃣Marathon Training 2019
I’ll start back to marathon training in January and follow an actual 4-month training plan. ⛸Getting back to skating the last month has brought me SO much joy it’s hard to put into words. It’s such a release for me and I leave with a giant smile on my face every time. I have been trying to post ALL day but one thing after another has led me to believe that it wasn't the right time. So here goes trying again! Sorry for the long post.
Today I rocked a side pony during my workout. I dropped weight which made me happy because I am currently not in a deficit. That wrap you see screwed my calories. Better choices next time. The dumbbell screwed my ego because for MONTHS I believed that those dumbbells were 25lbs EACH! They are actually 12.5lbs each!!! Completely bummed. However, I still showed up and increased weights! It's cold and after a week off cardio I hopped back on the treadmill tonight and knocked out 2 miles! 5 of those 30 minutes were warm up walking! It was nice to see my Cardio Fitness Level being average bordering good!
I also started trying to track my calories in my Fitbit app and I love that I don't have pay extra to watch macros! Interesting!!! Anyway there you have it!
