Revenue generation is the backbone of your business and this does not come easy unless you approach with creativity. First, be sure you have an unique and superior product or service without this all sales efforts will not make significant impact in terms of WOM.
Second, must identify your customer base demographics and understand where likely they will come across with your product or service. For sure, you can target them with all kinds of marketing channels such as digital marketing, printing, media, affiliates and etc. Most of these venues do drive revenue but they can be costly.
Creating partnerships is extremely underutilized or not even explored at all. This requires creativity to come up with a campaign that benefits you and potential partnering company or organization. To identify some of your partners; I.e. you are selling mid-age men shoes and need to assess where else do they spend their money other than at your competition? Do they belong to clubs? What kind of cars are they driving? Or is it their immediate spouses have influence on how and where to buy their shoes, if so where do the spouses spend their time and money? What if your assessment discovered that your potential customers are also members at the YMCA or spouses go to hair/nail salons frequently! Now, you will have to come up with programs to partner with these potentials. Programs that supports causes, revenue share, cross marketing etc.
Also, if you are selling a product or service that your customer uses regularly such as weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually than why not create a club/membership/subscription business model? This will reduce your customer acquisition cost and increase retention rate significantly.
