Victor Moses has retired from international football in order to focus on his club career at Chelsea. The 27-year-old has called time on his Nigeria career after winning 37 caps for the Super Eagles. "I would like to announce that after much thought I have made the decision to retire from playing international football," Moses wrote on social media on Wednesday. "I have experienced some of the best moments of my life wearing the Super Eagles shirt and have memories with me that will last a lifetime. Nothing will ever compete to what it felt like to represent Nigeria on behalf of our country. However I feel that now is the right time to step away in order to be able to focus fully on club career and my young family as well as to allow the next generation of Super Eagles stars the opportunity to step up and to flourish. We are blessed as a nation to have so many exciting young players coming through and now is their time. I have already spoken to the manager by telephone and would like to say thank you to him and his staff, the NFF and all of my teammates for all of their support over the years. Most importantly I would like to say thank you to the Nigerian people for believing in me and supporting me over the years. It's meant the world to me and my family and I will always be a proud Nigerian supporting the team. Thank you for the memories and good luck to the team for the future." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #VictorMoses
Chelsea are stepping up their efforts to appoint a successor to former technical director Michael Emenalo. Granovskaia has been in sole charge of transfers and the club’s loanees over the past two transfer windows since Emenalo’s departure, having shelved the process to replace him. Chelsea decided to prioritise their managerial situation and player trading ahead of replacing Emenalo with somebody who might need time to feel their way into the job. Despite insisting he takes no interest in transfers, it is understood Sarri would like to work closely with whoever Chelsea appoint and may favour a candidate who speaks Italian if he gets any say over the matter. But it remains to be seen whether or not Chelsea hire a like-for-like replacement for Emenalo or change the job specification, as Granovskaia will continue to take the lead over player transfer and contract negotiations. Whatever their title, somebody is needed to help oversee and plan all the loans, while providing a link between the Academy, first-team and boardroom. Kenneth Omeruo became the 31st player to leave Chelsea on loan by joining Leganes for the season. #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola

CHELSEA fans believe Eden Hazard has dropped a big transfer hint on social media. The Belgian has been the subject of major speculation this summer after appearing to hint at a Stamford Bridge exit while at the World Cup. However, time is running out for the Spanish giants to make a move with the European transfer window slamming shut at the end of the month. And Chelsea supporters now believe Hazard's cryptic Twitter activity all-but confirms he will remain at the club beyond the summer. The attacker took to the social media site yesterday to remove his 'header' photo of himself in a Belgium kit, replacing it with a new picture showing him donning the Chelsea captain's armband. Blues fans were quick to spot the change to Hazard's profile and began to get excited. One supporter tweeted: "Eden Hazard gives the biggest hint he might be signing new contract soon and will be the new official #CFC captain. On his Twitter header." Another said: "Eden Hazard has changed his profile pic on Twitter to him in a CFC shirt, and his banner to a photo of him wearing the captain’s armband at Chelsea. Hmm..." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #edenhazard
CHELSEA hero Pat Nevin says the Blues did not need to sign a £50m defender this summer because they have Ethan Ampadu among their ranks. "It all began to feel a bit last-minute as the squad finally took shape just before the transfer window closed," Nevin wrote for Chelsea’s official website. "Would the extra midfielder arrive in time? Would we get the goalkeeping dilemma sorted? Is there really a need for another centre-back? In the midst of all this, one man seemed quite relaxed, laid back to the point of disinterested, and fortunately for us it was Maurizio Sarri. The other midfielder duly arrived from Real Madrid in the shape of Mateo Kovacic, we got in a younger model for the sadly departed Thibaut Courtois in goal and anyone who watched our game against Lyon will be aware that Ethan Ampadu is very likely to push David Luiz, Toni Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Gary Cahill as much as just about any other centre-back we could have thrown £50m or £60m at." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
Willian has confirmed there is "no chance" he would have stayed at Chelsea had Antonio Conte remained as manager. Sky sources reported back in May that the Brazil forward wanted out of Stamford Bridge if the Italian stayed on, at a time when the previous manager was in limbo over his future. Manchester United and Barcelona were interested in Willian and the latter had three bids turned down. Willian was asked if he would be at Chelsea with Conte still in charge, and he said: "No chance. No. I'm here because I want to play for Chelsea. I will only leave if Chelsea want me to go." Willian is confident of ending a run of six games without a win against the Gunners. "I think we have a good chance to turn the results around against them because now we have a different way to play football," he said. "The manager tells us to play, to enjoy ourselves on the pitch, with responsibility. Now we have a different style, that's why we can create problems for Arsenal." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #WillianBorges
Schalke are among a number of European clubs interested in signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan from Chelsea before the end of August. But the prospect of Loftus-Cheek being allowed to leave Stamford Bridge is currently rated as ‘extremely unlikely’, despite the fact he did not start against Huddersfield Town. Loftus-Cheek’s contract has three years left to run and Chelsea would have to consider selling him at the end of this season if he decides he must leave and will not sign a new deal. The Blues could demand that he signs a contract extension to go out on loan this season, which could provide another obstacle for his suitors, including Schalke, to get over. #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #RubenLoftusCheek

Regrann from @thechelsealady.cfc - DAVID Luiz has been assured he has a big future under new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri. “I don’t know about what happened in the past but now he has a good chance,” said Sarri. “We only have to carry on like we are doing now with him.” The Italian believes Luiz can adapt to his new look four-man backline. “I disagree that he can only play as one of three central defenders,” said the former Napoli coach. “If you are a good defender, you can play in a line of three or in a four. CHELSEA striker Alvaro Morata has backed new team mate Mateo Kovacic to be a hit at the Blues. “Mateo, first of all, is an amazing person,” Morata told the club's official website. "He is a midfielder who is good with the ball, very technical.“ "He’s a very good player which is very important for us because we need top players,” he added. Speaking about what he feels Kovavic brings to his new side, the striker was adamant his good friend would make a big impact. "He can break through the lines with his quality, he can score goals and he has a lot of power in his legs,” he said. "With him we will win a lot of possession and he has the ability to carry the ball into the final third and provide passes for the strikers.” “Yes, he gave me a lot of assists in Madrid,” he said. “We enjoy playing together and I’m very happy to have him here. I think he’s one of the best midfielders in the world. AC Milan have agreed a deal to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea on a season-long loan with an option to buy for £35.56m, Sky in Italy are reporting. CHELSEA striker Michy Batshuayi says he joined Valencia to prove himself in the Champions League. Batshuayi says he’s now relishing the chance to strut his stuff at one of Spain’s elite clubs. "There were plenty of clubs who wanted to sign me but after talking to Marcelino, a bond was generated and he convinced me to sign," he said. "This is a strong team who play in the Champions League and fight against the best, but what convinced me most was my conversation with the coach. Maurizio Sarri admits he harbours regret over Chelsea’s failure to sign Gonzalo Higuain. Asked about Chelsea’s summer dealings, he told Sky Sports: ‘Higuain? It’s a little regret but in the end everyone after the market have a few little regrets.’ ‘Fundamentally, the club was very open, we signed a great goalkeeper to replace another great one,’ he added. ‘I thought it right not to hold Courtois against his will, we got someone young like Mateo Kovacic who is ready to explode and also Jorginho.’ #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #GonzaloHiguain
Antonio Rudiger was full of praise for Kepa Arrizabalaga after his assured Chelsea debut against Huddersfield. ‘He did well,’ the German centre-back said of the shot-stopper. ‘He tried to speak as much as he could. It was good, we have a good understanding and he is a quality player. He did well with [communication]. When we needed to help him, we helped him. Today in general for us was a very good day. We all know Thibaut’s [Courtois] quality, but Thibaut is no longer a Chelsea player. I wish him good luck at Real Madrid but now we have to concentrate on Kepa because he is our goalkeeper. In his work he is very confident and off the pitch he is a quiet guy.’ #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #AntonioRudiger #KepaArrizabalaga
Thibaut Courtois would have stayed at Chelsea if his family lived in London, his agent has said. “If the family were in London it would have been totally different. He would have stayed, there is no reason to leave a club like Chelsea, he could have won trophies. There has been a misunderstanding that he wanted to get a move for the wrong reasons, but he was pushing to go out of Chelsea because of his child," Christophe Henrotay told BBC’s Sportsweek on Courtois. "Unfortunately his kids are living with the mother in Madrid. He had the contract and it depended on Chelsea, but running close to the end of his contract, Chelsea had an interest to find a deal with Madrid, which they did. It is personal reasons so we have to respect this. Chelsea understood the situation and really helped to get the deal. They did a really quick and easy deal together, understanding the humanity of the situation. It is not doing something against their fans it is about getting the best of a situation that is not ideal." Henrotay says reuniting the Courtois family made getting the deal done even sweeter. "It's a move he wanted because of his family and he had the opportunity to go back to Madrid - a city he loves and to such a big club in Real Madrid," he said. "When we arrived in Madrid to make the signing, I had his parents, his brother, his sister, his child, the mother of the child, everyone is there and I said to him that I am delighted to make a great deal for him in going to Real Madrid but also it's a family coming together. I could see tears in their eyes and it delighted me to be able to do something not only for a player, for a client, but for a family, which is great. I fully understand the fans of Chelsea and no one has reason to blame that feeling. Thibaut is such a great goalkeeper and he did his best at Chelsea to bring titles and trophies so it is not a great feeling to lose such a player."
Chelsea should have no interest in pleasing rivals Real Madrid by selling them Eden Hazard, according to the Sunday Supplement panel Martin Samuel. Speaking on the Sunday Supplement, the Daily Mail's Martin Samuel thinks Chelsea are right to stand their ground on Hazard, saying the Premier League side do not have to solve Real Madrid's problems for them. When asked if anyone can deny Hazard a move to Real in the future, he said: "I don't think it is Chelsea's business to make Real Madrid happy so yes they can [deny Hazard a move]. They are rivals. Chelsea's rivals aren't Fulham or West Ham. Fulham might think Chelsea are their rivals but they are not anymore. Chelsea's rivals are Real Madrid. You don't solve Real Madrid's problems any more than you solve Manchester United's problems so it's not a case of can we deny him this dream move. Yes you can because it's not is your business interests to make Real Madrid happy." Speaking after Belgium's 2-0 win over England, Hazard told Belgian outlet HLN: "After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different. Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision - if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination." The Daily Telegraph's chief football writer Sam Wallace thinks Chelsea are right to stand their ground over Hazard, saying Real have no divine right to sign all the world's best players. You are buying into this notion that every great player must end up at Real Madrid. Why? That's what Real Madrid would like you to think but everyone else doesn't have to believe that. There's 25 other top clubs across Europe, who all think they are the greatest club ever. Bayern Munich think they are the greatest club that has ever existed. Manchester United certainly do and I dare say Liverpool do as well.

CESAR AZPILICUETA says Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has got the players working hard after they started the season with a 3-0 win over Huddersfield. He told BBC Sport: "We have been working really hard with him. He knows what he wants and our target was to start really well which we have done and now we must get ready for Arsenal. Our signings have been very good, adapting very quickly to the team and being comfortable in the team and we have a very good squad." Despite the 3-0 win, Sarri said the match was more difficult than the scoreline shows. He said: "The game was more difficult than the result. If you see the result you think it was a very easy match but in the first half it was very difficult against physical opponents. We are not a physical team so for 20 minutes we were in trouble but we did very well. In this moment we are not at the top of our potential but we had the capacity to suffer for 20 minutes in the first half." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #azpilicueta
JORGINHO scored a cheeky penalty on his debut for Chelsea as Maurizio Sarri registered a 3-0 win over Huddersfield in their opening Premier League game, but the new Blues boss wasn’t surprised. “I don’t know,” Sarri said when asked what he thought about Jorginho’s penalty. “He has always kicked the penalty like this.” #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #Jorginho
Maurizio Sarri insists there is still more to come from Chelsea following their 3-0 win at Huddersfield on the opening weekend of the Premier League. "I'm very happy for the three points," Sarri told Sky Sports. "For us, in this first part of the championship it's not very easy to gain points. I think in this moment we are not at the top of our potential. The first half was hard. If you look at the result, you can think about an easy game, but in the first half we were in trouble for 15 minutes against a very physical team. We are not a physical team and I think the best of the game is the capacity of suffering for 15 minutes. Then I think in the second half the opponents were a bit tired and it was easier." “From the physical point of view, it’s different,” the Chelsea boss said, comparing the Premier League to Serie A. “For the referees, it is different. Really different. Today with an Italian referee maybe there were 15 fouls more than with this referee.” Asked if he can replicate Napoli’s style at Chelsea, Sarri, added: “No, I have to know the characteristics of the players because I think I don’t want to do another Naples. I want to do a good Chelsea. I have to respect the characteristics of the players, I have to adapt myself to the characteristics of the championship and of the players, so now I am studying my players.” When asked if he was always going to give Hazard game time, he said: "Yes, in this moment he cannot play 90 minutes so he came on in the last 20 minutes when the opponents may be tired." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
Michy Batshuayi has agreed to join Spanish club Valencia on a season-long loan from Chelsea. The striker, who spent the second half of last season at Borussia Dortmund, is moving to La Liga in search of regular football. Batshuayi’s decision to go could mean Tammy Abraham, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Bristol City and Swansea City, remains at the club. Midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is also expected to move to AC Milan on a season-long loan before the end of the month and Sarri admitted his current squad is too large. “I think the squad is too large, so I think some players have to go on loan,” said Sarri. “But I don't know who at the moment. I prefer to have 23 / 24 players, and three or four very young players. No more.” #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #MichyBatshuayai
“For sure, in this moment, we are not at the top of our potential,” said Sarri. “We did a pre-season - what can I say - unusual, maybe. So now we are not at the top. I hope to be at the top of the potential of the squad in one or two months. I hope that the second part of the season, for us, will be very good with a lot of points. I expect in the first part of the season some problems.” Sarri did not go as far as ruling Chelsea out of the title race before it has started, but, asked what problems he expects to encounter, the 59-year-old added: “On the results. Maybe the performances in the first part of the season will not be in line with the potential of the squad.” That may not have been what the Chelsea board envisaged when they brought in Sarri, but he insisted: “They know it. They know it very well.” Asked if he would change the summer schedule, Sarri replied: “If I can, completely. I arrived in the middle of July, so the problem was there. I have to accept it completely, but I think, for the future, it will be better to change it. I think that my perfect programme of pre-season is not completely in line with the programme of the club. So we have to arrive at a compromise.” “My job is on the pitch, to improve my players,” said Sarri. “My job is to try to win matches. It's not to sign new contracts. But I have seen a player who is very happy to stay here, so I think it will be no problem, the new contract.” “We (Chelsea) have to play at another speed. The offensive phase may be problem at this speed. If we are able to play at another speed, maybe scoring will not be a problem for us. But at this moment, at this current speed, it may be a problem.” #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
