Chatting over our days, during dinner.
Still in the process of adapting in our new home.
Change - how do we deal with changes?
We had big resistance of going to school from our 5 year-old daughter. Who said she doesn’t want to go to school, it’s boring, she only wants her old school, only wants her best friends and so on. Although she loves Bali and she has been excited telling people that she’s moving to Bali. But when we are here, she realized, big change!
And a 3-year-old who has been resisting the move ever since we told him about the move 3 months ago, but on the other hand is pretty cool and easy in adapting to his new environment.
As parents, we know we take them out from their comfort of ‘home’ yet again. It’s the second time for the younger one and the third time for the older one, we changed their environments, their school, their beds, room, friends, home, etc.
We find a check-in with each other at the end of the day is a beautiful way to connect with one another despite all the changes we all are going through. Because all of us deserve to know what each of us are going through.
I mean all of us. Sometimes I think they wouldn’t understand, but they actually do, when I share. And they appreciate it.
Big part of our discussion is school. They had a school trial today and They love their new school - Hooraahh... #connection #talktoyourkids #listentoyourkids #connectingwithmykids #kidstable #dinner #togetherness #balilife #chatting #howtodealwithchange #changes #parenting #kidstalk #relationshipbuilding #relationship #travelingfamily #thirdculturekids #kidsfindtheirworld #explorelifewithkids #creatingmemories
