Traditionally, chest is trained with triceps and back with biceps because they are complimentary muscle groups. I like to switch it up and train biceps with chest and triceps with back. This ensures both secondary muscles are fresh and adept to lift heavy. It’s hard to train them when they are already indirectly being used with they primary muscle group. Sometimes, no matter how hard you fight, getting up and getting after it to achieve the goals you set for yourself just seems out of reach. To actually achieve a goal you set for yourself you have to have a sense of urgency to do it, and we all know that. So how do you motivate yourself to achieve your goal? -THE DEATH GROUND STRATEGY-
You can read up on this anywhere on the internet, but if you’ve never heard of it, it’s a good way to go about your goals and aspirations.
It’s simple, when you give yourself no option but to succeed, you find yourself working 2x harder to achieve what you’re doing.
Example: Sun Tzu would talk about putting his soldiers against a mountain wall, or rivers edge. When there was nowhere to go the soldiers had no choice but to give it their all, or they’d face death.
Implement this to your goal today, but differently obviously. Give something of value to your parents or a friend you trust, and tell them to not give it back to you’ve reached and achieved your goal. (Money, phone, video games, laptop, car keys) whatever it take for you to achieve it.
