With a coffee on the side with Almond milk 🥛. Total of 410 calories and it’s bloody worth it !

Often, we can feel trapped in a situation and this can cause a lot of frustration. Under all the rubble and noise of our fears, and doubts, if we look carefully we wil realise that we do have a choice.
Sometimes, we don't like the choices that are available because; we are fearful of saying 'no' or nervous about upsetting someone or reluctant to stand out and be different by going against the norm.
The thing is, we are all entitled to choose what is best for us and when we don't, we can end up in a never ending cycle of frustration and the more we resist what is right for us, the more likely we are to build up resentment within ourselves.
Today, we invite you to consider the choices available to you, in a scenario where you are currently feeling frustration. We encourage you to find the courage to choose what is right for you.

Final section of the first module of the Culinary Medicine course complete! This module focused on creating a full day menu for people suffering with diabetes or working towards diabetes prevention.
My breakfast creation was a Cacao and Banana Chia Pudding. 🍌
Both chia seeds and Cacao are exciting ingredients in the world of nutrition at the moment, with studies being conducted on both of them related to how they interact with diabetes problems.
A recent study was conducted comparing subjects who consumed a High Fructose and Fat diet (HFF) alone compared to those who consumed HFF with chia seeds. Results found that those who consumed the HFF diet induced glucose intolerance, insulin resistance and oxidative stress. However, those who also consumed chia seeds as well actually improved glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity!
