Today I had cupping done by my good friend and fellow practitioner @lowens04
, RMT. (Swipe left to see). Cupping is an ancient healing art form. The Ebers Papyrus written in 1550 BC describes the Egyptians' use of cupping, while mentioning similar practices employed by Saharan people. In ancient Greece, Hippocrates (400 BC) used cupping for internal disease and structural problems.
Lately I've been focused on this expression "bent out of shape". We get "bent out of shape" dealing with mineral deficiencies that cause tension, sitting on chairs, sitting in cars, sleeping in shitty beds, standing on cement floors and walking on pavement. In this modern world we must employ one another to help us get back into our natural shape again. Remember the Greek legend of Chiron? He was a great healer who could heal others easily but could not heal himself. So keeping with that realization and pact I made with myself in Mexico, that I would visit healers more often, I had myofascial stretch release done on Monday by @___jmac
(amazing healer) and today cupping - both of which I really enjoyed. I loved the feeling of the muscles being released and the heightened circulation afterwards. Everything feels electric, alive and "tingly" almost as though you have taken 1/4 tablet of Niacin (a flushing B vitamin which increases circulation). Cupping is great for deep tissue massage, relaxtion, inflammation and pain.
You can even buy your own cups to use at home on your arms or legs - anywhere you can reach! We're all "bent out of shape" and it's time we return to our naturally limber, flexibly strong forms.
With minerals (especially selenium and magnesium), lots of traditional foods and time- tested physical treatments, we can do just that! Love, Kaleigh 💛
