I did not make these, but I certainly grabbed handfuls of each and greedily smashed them into my face.

Meh! This pie didn’t quite do it for me. I’m definitely more of a fruity pie kinda gal. But I have to admit that it does look pretty! I made the crust in the food processor this time and I won’t be doing that again. The crust wasn’t as flaky as when I make it by hand. My tip to anyone who is new to baking pies from scratch- make the crust by hand...it’s extra work, but so worth it! Also, when baking with chocolate pay attention to the percentage of cacao, not just the kind of chocolate it is. I used a chocolate with a higher percentage of cacao and it was too dark for my tastes. The taste and texture of this pie was better the next day. And according to @bmfg36 it’s even better the third day with peach slices on top! 😆🍑🥧
