Hanging out at the park, working on Flow #3 , when I noticed a group of people walking unusually close to me. I looked up, expecting students from the nearby school. Turned out to be a group of about eight young LAPD officers are wearing LAPD police officer tactical uniforms. They calmly walked within about 10 feet of me just chatting away. After they passed (we all nodded and said hello) I realized there were other groups of officers wandering around. #lifeinthefastlane#venusfit#animalflow#chooseyourownadventure#venusrhymeswithpenis#crimesceneflow
Faceless Beauties presents a princess inspired collection. To those of you who have asked about why my Faceless Beauties are indeed faceless... the answer is long in my head but as for the quick(ish) answer... I want my work to be open to my viewer’s interpretation, as many of us do. When I see a character’s face, I instantly give them a persona all their own. By eliminating the face on my many Faceless Beauties, I’m leaving that face up to you. Is it you? Is it someone that can relate to this image/pose/situation? Let these emotional or iconic images be a frame. Think of is as my own brand of choose-your-own-adventure books! Thanks for reading and as always guys, thank you for the endless support. Side note: Who should I do next? ♥️🍎
Just arrived! The 7th Continent is a board game where you explore, survive and YOU are the hero! “1907. A renowned explorer, you have just come back from the first expedition on the seventh continent, a mysterious land that was recently discovered off the coast of Antarctica. Lift curses or die trying in the first ‘choose-your-one-path’ exploration board game.” Earning over $7 million on Kickstarter, I backed this along with almost 44,000 others including expansions which will arrive in the next wave. The game plays using a choose your own adventure style of exploration using hundreds of cards that lay out forming a map of a massive open world for your adventure as you attempt to decipher the clue and cure your curse! I’m really excited to play this one, which is why I’ve already unpacked everything and set it up for my first game! Supposedly it’s very quick to set up and tear down, with a unique “saving” system, so you can start and leave off playing at a moments notice.
Oh, and for those noticing, I’m drinking Compass Box Oak Cross Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, which seemed like a fitting choice, and is absolutely delicious this morning as I get ready to settle in for my first exploration of the 7th Continent!
Gili Trawangan a.k.a Gili T. We coined it the island of swings. .
We overheard someone say “if you don’t get a swing picture, were you even there?” It’s strange to see how social media has changed traveling. There were actual line ups to take pictures at “hotspots” for swings. People are no longer watching the sunset. They’re turning their back to it for a picture or staring at their phone from their selfie stick. I love capturing moments and sharing our travels in hopes that someone will choose to visit these beautiful places one day. It also gives me a chance to travel in time and relive those memories. We found this swing on our bike ride through a yoga retreat. There was no talking allowed and there were quotes hanging from the trees. It was a peaceful moment and one that didn’t charge us or have a lineup. So, we still got the “swing photo” but we found our own swing! .
Last meal at the resort. My breakfast buddy is already on her shuttle back to the airport. I’m just trying to soak in every last second of this amazing trip. At the start of the year I read something that said if I were willing to take chances and just do things regardless of fear that it would change my life and move me forwards. I feel it, you guys.
At first I wanted to make this year about fearlessness. It was going to be my “word” but then I realized that the whole point is that you’re always going to feel fear and instead of running from it, and essentially cowering from life, you need to run towards it and DO THINGS SCARED. .
So: be scared and do it anyways. .
First trip away from my family. First time away from my kids in almost 9 years of being a mama. First trip “on my own.” Was I scared? Fuck yeah. But you know what? I did it anyways... and I think it’s going to make all the difference in the world. 😊💕
The truth is ... we do have time ... it comes down to what we choose as a priority with our time! Every day we get to choose where we put our time! You get to choose today ... the choices you make today ... will they make your tomorrow better ... will they make someone else’s tomorrow better? It really isn’t about time ... it’s about priorities! Are your priorities reflective of the life you want? #idonthavetime#busymomlife#thisismyjourney
I really enjoyed Hiroshima - much more than Kyoto. Kyoto for me has become an imitation of itself and about selling the Japanese image to tourists, but I only feel that way because it’s not the Japan I want to see anymore. I like the day-in-the-life of types of deals. I still enjoyed checking it though and I’m sure that for first timers to Japan, it’s the perfect gateway to branch out and see more of this awesome country.
These photos were taken around Peace Park, the A-bomb dome and Hiroshima Castle - a much more meaningful and impactful experience if I compare the two places. It’s a harsh reminder that there are no winners in war. These monuments were very emotional and highlighted to me that bad stuff happens and sometimes we can’t control things, so it’s best to have control over how you want to live your own life. Go and see shit, have experiences, be open to new things and show compassion to as many people you cross paths with. Learn as much as you can about the world in the short time we have to live our lives so we pass on our good vibes to future generations. ✌️

Introducing.... Energy minimum...
A visual art band. We're actively searching members. Example works to come...n joy.
And sometimes you meet up with extended “family” from far away. I’ve met people here that I’ve only ever interacted with online. Heck, my roommate and I only met irl a few days ago. Your vibe attracts your tribe, friends. Don’t, for a minute, think they aren’t out there... your people are looking for you just like you’re looking for them. Be open to the growth process and soon you’ll find your way! 😊💕
I'm learning some powerful lessons about "deciding" lately.
I've noticed I've fallen into a pattern of waiting around "for all to be revealed", for the right path, the best decision to become clear to me before moving forward. This has created an energy of STUCK in my life.
Spirit has been speaking to me strongly of moving forward by making decisions for myself. Not waiting for divine writing in the sky and someone else to choose for me.
There absolutely are times when it's prudent to wait within spirit, seeking the next step, but there are certainly other times when we've got to forge ahead for ourselves and own our own decisions.
When we're feeling stuck between choices, and we're in perpetual waiting, this can be a good sign to Valkyrie Up and walk down a path. Just decide. We can always choose differently later, but sometimes we don't know the best way until we jump in and try it out.
