But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NIV)
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13 KJV)

08.15.18 — Harvest
My great niece beamed in the picture with her dad. She wanted to wear a red polo shirt as part of her first day of school uniform and the shot captured her delight. Now what lies before her is a year of junior high expectations and tween angst. Wondrous or woeful, her parents stand ready to navigate through the milestones and millstones that will secure her future.
Not only is the Summer slowly drifting away with the start of preseason football, baseball wrap-ups and yes, the horde of yellow buses descending on one’s commute, but harvest time is coming as well. Embrace these moments. Celebrate them.
It’s our time to join a tribe of educators coming back from a Summer of well-earned rest. As they teach our children from brick and mortar structures, may we help reinforce the lessons they learn by what we teach our children at home — a respect for others, a manner befitting dignity in conflict, a thirst for knowledge and a love for God.
A new season awaits. Are you up for the harvest?
He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” — Luke 10:2

I’ve been working on thankfulness lately. Being thankful for the things I have and the way God has provided for me, despite the way I think or feel it should have happened. The other night at church I began thanking God out loud for everything and it was overwhelming.
No, we may not be where we thought we’d be. There might be some things that “aren’t working” perfectly. But everything is working exactly the way God has planned. His ways are higher and better than ours and we don’t have to understand it, but we do have to trust it.
There is something incredible that happens when we verbally thank God for all He has blessed us with. When we go from a complaining spirit to a thankful heart, something radically changes. When we voice the goodness and provision of God, we can’t help but be thankful and recognize that we are loved, chosen, and always cared for. So if you’re feeling defeated, ashamed, disappointed, or overwhelmed, try thanking God out LOUD. Just because our lives don’t look the way we thought they would, doesn’t mean God has forgotten us. It only means that He knows a better way. •

The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8 •
May we remember what is truly lasting and eternal - God and His unchanging Word. It stands forever, while things of this world, and even our own lives, are passing away. Let's run after Him! He is the only lasting thing in this fading world. •

We pray. We pray again. We pray another time. We pray once more. We get discouraged when our prayers are not answered in the time frame we want them. However, God answers prayers when you LEAST expect it!
WORDS HAVE POWER, INCLUDING THE WORDS WE READ.
One of the greatest things that I have found to help me in my Christian walk, is reading biblical based books that challenge me spiritually. I do believe that the Bible should be the book we read more than anything else. However, I have found that reading other materials that provoke spiritual thought and help ignite a deeper study into biblical truths is VERY beneficial.
I used to make excuses like, “Man I don’t have ANY time to read books. I’m too busy for that.” However, I realized I had A LOT more time once I started to limit and lessen my time spent on social media and watching television.
Our souls need edification, nourishment, and consistent rejuvenation. Reading and dwelling on words, things, and books that challenge your “inner soul man” is such a invigorating experience. It doesn’t have to be super long books either. It can be daily devotionals, spiritual workbooks, or whatever you feel is best. So I challenge you to READ, but not just anything. READ things that help nourish and feed your soul! (Phil 4:8) Be encouraged! #F3 #FearlessFaithfulFollowing
PS: In this picture, I am reading one of my favorite devotionals. It is called “Diligently Seeking God” by the wonderful author named Gary Henry. It’s one of the most encouraging devotionals that I have read in my life. Feel free to check it out. It will surely bless your life! 😊
Thank God that you have Him and instead of fighting the process, lean into it.

In Luke 5:5, Simon answers to Jesus, "I've done this all night long and I'm exhausted! I haven't caught one fish! But at Your word I will obey." Another version says, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” ***** What are you Obeying God with today?
How many times do we feel exhausted when looking at our situations - we often just want to throw in the towel and give up... BUT GOD!!! He IS Provision & will always provide a way, according to His will and purpose, when we get up, pick up our nets and OBEY!!! ❤ ***** Obedience to God, Prayer & Faith, believing HE IS the God of the Impossible is key! He will cause you to reap an abundant harvest that can only come through Him, when we surrender our situations at His feet.
❤ ***** Then, Luke 5:6-7, "When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink." Now, that IS our God! ❤ ***** I CHOOSE to look UP at the God of Miracles - The God of the Impossible - I will never grow tired of looking up at my Savior - Fully humbled, filled with GRATITUDE and LOVE for who my God IS! He has not failed me once...and I KNOW HE never will. -- 📸 @fabianephotography

One thing I do love about myself, is the fact that I know how to & love to take risks. Idk who or what in life made me this way, but it’s definitely something I have noticed as I’ve grown up. When speaking with friends, family or even to just associates on social media, I often hear people saying they wanna do soooo much but are just scared of the outcome. Even in this new partnership I am in, when sharing with others that I believe would have so much potential doing the same, I’ve noticed people second guess themselves, get scared and or even wear themselves out with questions about how it would work. — All I am gonna say is, you will never know until you try!!! Nothing in this life comes easy and if you aren’t willing to risk anything at all to try something new, you will be in the same stagnant, complaining, “what if” spot in your life, forever. You will be constantly admiring everyone else and what they are doing and feeling sorry for yourself. All of your favorite entrepreneurs & influencers are where they are because they took a RISK and didn’t care what anyone else had to say about it. Just do better y’all. Boss up. Try new things. Get around other risk takers & go getters that aren’t here for your whining, complaining, or procrastination. Stop caring so much about how stuff looks to other people and GO FOR IT, for what YOU want. OR don’t and just cry all your life, be broke, depending on one source of income & be left in the dust. K bye. Love y’all 😊❤️ #HumpDayMood #SorryNotSorry

“F—- God,” he said, face unflinching in his statement of conviction. I looked back in his eyes and wanted to be angry, yell at him, be the stereotyped overzealous Christian that the world thinks I am. But I stared back into his tired eyes heartbroken.
“How can he claim to be atheist when he vehemently hates God? There would have to be a belief in God for there to be such a passionate anger, wouldn’t there?” I thought.
I looked back at him and said, “I’m sorry you feel that way.” I was a young college student. I didn’t have the wisdom or life experience I have today, and I certainly didn’t have the tact. But I remained silent. I’ll never know what happened to this classmate of mine or where he is in his faith today. I think about him from time to time. I wonder if he ever changed his mind or if he steadied his course of disbelief.
Even when you think you’ve had a bad encounter with someone of the opposite belief, never give up praying for them. Whenever they come to mind for you, it’s a reminder for you that they are on Jesus’ heart all the time.

But sis I would never talk to the devil. Sis Eve prolly said the same thing, I would NEVER entertain the enemy. But in actuality we entertain him more often than we think. Here’s a truth: We’ve had more conversations with the enemy of our souls than God himself. And the crazy thing is it’s so easy for him to sway us and have us believing his lies but it’s so incredibly hard for us to believe the TRUTH of God. What does a conversation with the enemy sound like...it sounds like you second guessing yourself...it sounds like you hating yourself...it sounds like you questioning who God has called you to be...it sounds like you questioning the goodness of God. Today, take a look at the conversation Eve had with the enemy in Genesis in the Garden if Eden. If any of your thoughts sound like Eve’s dialogue with Satan understand you are having a full on conversation with the enemy of your soul. Sisters God is jealous for you and he wants your FaceTime. He wants to talk to you. He wants your full attention. He desires to tell you the truth about who you are. He desires to build you up and not tear you down. He desires to give you peace. He desires to give you insight into your future but you can never have the most intimate and pure moments with God as long as you continue to have conversations with the enemy. So tell the enemy the conversations end today. I come out of agreement with the lies you’ve been feeding me. I come out of agreement with who you say I am and today I am believing who God says I am. Let God be true and every man be a LIAR. Love you sis ❤️Comment a 🙋🏽♀️ below if you telling the devil no and where he can go today👇🏽
Take some time today to dwell on the things that matter most. Read your Bible. Write in your journal. Sip some coffee. Pray. And just sit still for a minute.⠀
The world won't stop turning if you stop moving for long enough to catch your breath.⠀
If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. - Romans 14:8 (NIV)
📖 “"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation." Isaiah 12:2
Yesterday afternoon I had two great discussions with groups of people about imposter syndrome, fear of failure, and fear of rejection. Fear is real. It’s strong and it has the power to stop amazing, important things from being born in your life and your work. But God is more real. God is stronger. And He has planned and planted in you the seeds of beautiful fruit since before you were born. Give all of us the gift of those things He has planned for you. Let those things be birthed and grow. Let the Lord be your strength and your song. Trust. And jump. ⠀⠀
🙏🏻 Father, give us ears to hear your voice in our hearts. Draw us to your Word and your desires for us. Give us courage, confidence, and trust in what you’ve told us. Bring others alongside us to encourage us. But, most of all, may we be obedient in action. I love you. Amen.
Even though the main point in this week’s blog is sex, there is a mention of vices in a more general sense as well. In last week’s Instagram Live, there was a point made that everyone struggles with different things. Maybe it’s smooth sailing for you in your celibacy, that doesn’t mean there isn’t something you can be better at. •*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*
We should always be striving to a deeper level of worship, relationship and understanding of Christ. God’s doesn’t expect us to have everything perfect all the time. He does however, expect us to be crucifying this flesh daily. •*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*
Everyday we should be putting something down that distances or distracts us from getting closer to God.
Whatever that thing is. •*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*

How well do you Trust Him? ⬇️⬇️ *
I can be worrywart...It took a while, but I am finally learning to surrender everything to His will. The peace He has been giving me in return is beyond my understanding... He has not failed me yet...He goes before me....He is in my future...I will trust Him & not be Afraid.

Yesterday on our prayer call, we talked about how contentment ultimately comes from your attitude. Instead of hoping for a “miracle,” appreciate where you are and how you have another day of life.
A good #morningroutine
is to pray, stretch and make an affirmation for yourself.
You are under the grace of God. Without the grace of God, we are no better than the rest of the world. So, instead, pray for them and love them. That is our job, to love one another and be the salt and light in the world.
If the world condemns and judges, we should do the opposite.
Who's with me!!!?Lol...
Sometimes social media does not allow balance. It's either too much of this or that..it's like being in conversation with thousands all at the same damn time meaning a lot of noise.I'm at peace with this post because at the end of the day I retreat to myself. And self sometimes doesn't need all that noise.I don't need to see everything ,know everything and read everything all the time.Even good things. This #fomo
culture being built on the socials makes us miss out on our own lives happening right in front of us,because we are busy following people's edited, facetuned and highlighted beautiful!Yes😊 lives then we desire to facetune, highlight and edit our own to get followers. Lol...I do it all the time. #nojudgement
lol...I'm recognising the issue here, leaning into it and figuring out how to deal with it..lol .Encourage you to do so💕💕💕🎊🎊🎊🎊🙌 . .

Chosen. I totally love my top from @faithxthreads
- thanks so much for such a sweet gift! It’s such a statement, affirmation and reminder of the type of woman He wants me to be. The Bridegroom has invited us in. To be His. To be close. To know and experience His love, kingdom and nature.
Many are called but few are chosen, because few are willing to submit to change (Matthew 22:1-14). I used to think we are automatically chosen just because we are called. But I’ve learnt differently. Although we all have the same opportunity and space to be chosen, we have to respond rightly.
We all have ears to hear the gospel, but are we listening and responding? Our response determines whether or not we are chosen, not anything else. It’s our response. The way we respond to His leading, His word and His call to be like Him.
Are we prepared to go through the uncomfortable process it takes to be chosen? That’s the question for His Bride. Hearing is one thing, but listening and responding in the way right way is another. Will we respond rightly?
We are all a work in progress. Be proud of the progress you make every single day. And if you mess up, be thankful that you have another opportunity to try again. His mercies are new every morning! How mind boggling and amazing! God is faithful 💛 “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6 NIV) #wontHedoit #christianbloggers #blackgirlbloggers
