Meethi chutney ( Recipe by nazia farhan)
In a vessel put 250 gm imli , 500 gm gudh , 350 gm khajur , 6 tbsp sugar , 2 fists whole Kashmiri lal Mirch , 6 tbsp zeera roasted till it's black and then powderd( this gives your chutney the colour and flavour we get in the chutney the chat walas serve)
Salt to taste , 15-20 cloves of garlic , 2 tsp sundh powder( ginger powder) , add Little water and soak it for few hours or just give it a boil. Grind to a thick paste and then strain . Mix 4 tbsp chat masala and then cook the chutney for 5 mins ( this will give it a nice shine) store in glass jars ( this quantity lasts a few months in the fridge ) can be used for all kinds of chats , even for pani puri just dilute with water and add pani puri masala , you can use to make kachumbar with pulao , add the chutney to chopped onion , cucumber , tomatoes and coriander . You can also use it to make chatpate aaloo , and many other things .
