One of my favorite things about the circus community, especially during the early 20th century, was exactly that...it was a community. It wasn't just a job they showed up to, clocked in, clocked out, and left. It was their home, it was their family, it was their whole life. Everywhere the circus went, they went. Rain or shine, they would perform. They didn't quit on each other or the audience. Through the hard times and the amazing ones, they were dedicated to the circus and to eachother. To find such a community is rare, especially now, but I know they're out there, and once you find those people who become your own little circus, you also find your home. ❤ that what's it all about. Maybe not having much, but having eachother, and using what you have to make magic and happiness happen.
