In the US during winter, 🍊 navel oranges[top]—the ones that look like they have a belly button —are most abundant. These seedless oranges are tasty, but don’t be deceived: They’re not always as big as they look because they can have very thick skin. If you’re looking for a winter orange with more drama, look for 🍊 blood oranges[middle], so named for their gorgeous deep red flesh. 🍊 Cara Caras[bottom] are a type of navel orange with a lovely persimmon-colored flesh; I love how a mix of these and regular navels looks in a salad or salsa.

Fennel-blood orange salad 😍😍
Today I tried a new recipe, and honed an old one. I baked some no-flour, no-dairy brownies for tomorrow’s Concordia Dressage meetup, then made myself some phenominal poached salmon. I’ve been cooking several portions and putting them into containers for future meals, and it works FANTASTICALLY. I’m really loving the process of teaching myself to cook.
These local Murcott mandarins are ***spits seed out*** sooo good! Just arrived & highly recommended by our produce manager. Sound ON 💥🛎💥 #briarpatchproduce #lovelocal
Something fresh on a hot and muggy day like today will go down well. 🍈🍋😊
What does this little flower turn into?
Swipe to see and another fun looking citrus fruit I just picked out of a tree.
Take your pick. We love using seasonal produce in our dishes, especially when it’s citrus season! #CalMareLA
Do you ever find someone who makes you think and feel "ahhh they are so amazing I want to marry them" . And you check their social media constantly. It's not nesserally a crush on them but more of on their life. Is that weird? I just wonder if anyone else does that??
