Our first day in Ireland included us landing in Dublin, renting a car, driving on the other side of the road for the first time, getting into Galway, just to have our @airbnb
host never respond to us. We waited in a restaurant, a waffle shop, and even slept in the car waiting until our check-in time...just to not be able to check in or get ahold of anyone. First off, this was our first bad experience with booking an Airbnb, and @airbnb
handled the situation so well! We called them to request a refund before booking another place, to make sure we were protected financially. After they attempted to contact the host unsuccessfully, they refunded our money in full and then offered to pay for our new @airbnb
for the night! Well, long story short, we originally had booked a place in city center to be close to everything, but ended up here...in an Irish seaside garden palace! It’s not really a palace, but it felt like it to us. We fell in love with this place instantly, and plan on returning. The host made us a full Irish breakfast, allowed us to choose our rooms (all were in suite), and left us dreading to leave. Have you ever had a bad experience with an Airbnb or a hotel? Did they work with you to resolve the issue?
