The Metropolitan Cathedral Of Saints Vitus, Wenceslaus and Adalbert, otherwise known as the St. Vitus Cathedral is surely one of the biggest gems in Prague. And rightly so. Its origins reach back to the year 930 when the Romanesque rotunda was founded by Wenceslaus I, Duke of Bohemia. The current look of Cathedral started to appear in 1344, when the king John of Bohemia (father of Charles IV) laid the foundation stone for new building. Since then the building has continued throughout the centuries and the Cathedral, as we know it now, was completely finished in the first half of 20th century.
