Equipped with a KKK turbocharger and Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection, the Turbo produced a power output of 170 hp, a full 40 hp more than the Tii. The Evoluzione, introduced in 1986, was built to race in Group B but when that series was cancelled the project was also shelved as it was not fit for any other racing series. Ferrari had planned a production run of 20 cars to comply with Group B homologation requirements for Evolution models. All use two litre turbocharged inlin four-cylinder engines and all-wheel drive systems. The engine was strengthened in a few areas and the cam duration was increased. Monday again 😒 ———————— 1987 Brabham BMW BT56 Andrea De Cesaris, British GP Unreliable and not-very-competitive, ‘87 season was a nightmare for Brabham: De Cesaris finished only two races out of 16 despite claiming a third place during Belgian GP. Teammate Riccardo Patrese saw chequered flag only six times, finishing one time on the last step of the podium as well in Mexico. Designed by Marcello Gandini of Bertone, it was created to supply Ferruccio Lamborghini with a true four-seater car for his lineup which already included the 400GT 2+2 and the Miura. It was distinguished by amply glazed gullwing-doors and an equally amply louvered rear window.
