Ok. So I normally don’t post anything related to firearms, but a friend recently allowed me to experience these unique pieces of history. From bottom to top: 1941 Mosin 7.62*54R, British Mk. 4 .303 Jungle Carbine, Pearl Harbor era M1 Garand 30-06...
I can’t thank you enough bud! #history #garandthumb #m1garand #classicfirearms
Had the pleasure of restoring and brining this classic piece back to life for the homie @jay_1969
. It's a very early series 80. I looked up the serial number to manufacturing year of 1980. @jay_1969
If your ol man EVER decides to part ways with it, I'll GLADLY PAY for this gem. It's a rare find. The original finish is about 80%. I hand polished the hammer, barrel and feed ramp. Slide runs like it's on ball brings now. Disassembled this gun down to every pin, spring and screw. Even polished the original Cult grip medallions that had oxidized. This thing is beautiful. 😩😩😩#jelly #cultcommander #9mm #cultpistol #classicfirearms
Mosin M44 manuf. in 1948
_______________________________________1948 M44 Carbine. After WW2, the mosin-nagant rifle has been seen in almost every battle, from Cuba, to the Middle East, all the way to China, you can find a mosin somewhere in the hands of a solider. During WW2, the soviets saw the need for a light weight and shorter carbine. In 1938 they introduced a carbine, but it lacked a bayonet. They wanted a bayonet that wasn’t permanently sticking out causing the rifle to be even longer and harder to navigate with. In the late 1943, they designed a bayonet that could be folded and unfolded very quickly while being affixed to a carbine and the M44 was born. The m44 was produced in Russia from 1944-1948. The rifle, shown above, is the last of the M44s to be produced. This was due to Russia mass producing the SKS in 1949. Stay tuned for more history and posts about this rifle.
