But I have drunk a ton of water and herbal tea, and used peppermint essential oil on my temples which has helped. Had the honor to burn smoke and offer blessings at the youth power summit advocacy day at the Capitol building in Sac. I learned a lot about this sacred practice while offering what I could. I learned that prayer is truly felt, the babies are ready to know tradition, warriors need ritual, and the spirit knows how to acknowledge folks on the plane that they're at. Humbled to be a vessel for something that began so long ago before me. .

5 Day Nutritive Cleanse: Day 2
Down half a pound (not that #weightloss
was the goal, but I was curious all the same)
Day 2 Breakfast:
Balance Complete Shake with almond milk
Status: switching up the milk types and water to see if that makes a difference. Feeling fine.
Day 2 Lunch:
Balance Complete Shake with almond milk
3 slices of cucumber (sneaked from J's lunch)
Status: feeling a bit headachy and blah - everyone said it would come. Had some Ningxia and soda water and that perked me up a bit
none - wasn't that hungry
Status: had some more Ningxia and soda water, and I actually had a cup of tea. Is that allowed? I don't know but I really enjoyed it! Almond milk seems to be a good compromise between water and milk.
Day 1 Dinner:
Balance Complete Shake with coconut milk (yep, that's the third type of milk I tried if you've been keeping track!)
1 cup carrots
Status: Was teaching a class and had wine, chips and salsa for the attendees. Mouth kept watering crazily! It was slightly tempting to cheat but I didn't. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Overall, this afternoon was the hardest, but still another good day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I could go on and on about the many different ways to make smoothies! This week I am doing another raw fruit and vegetable cleanse. Well, almost - I do slightly heat up my vegetables sometimes. By the end of the week I feel much better and have gotten rid of any bloat or weight gain from the donuts the week before. 🤫🤷♀️.

Breakfast of champions! I really need to work on my photo skills as this does not do justice. It’s mango overnight oats with vanilla chia pudding topped with blueberries. The chia pudding is just chia seeds, vanilla bean paste, a little maple syrup and kefir for some good gut bacteria. The mango overnight oats are self explanatory- just mango and oats blitzed. You can add some banana if it needs some sweetness. I heated the blueberries just enough so they explode with sweet purple juices 🥣🌱💜💚💛💪
