I've been working really hard to regain the strength in my ankle, calf, and toes. I'm so happy to be able to do a substantial amount of toe raises again!!!! ***********
Yesterday, I was having an exceptionally downer day (they happen). It was just a day where I was feeling sorry for myself (again, it happens - I usually let it happen and let it run its course). Then, I got to the @strongholdclimb
gym. I'm still pretty new to this gym. I joined under a free temporary membership a few weeks before getting hurt, then couldn't go for about a month. I was nervous to go to another gym because my old gym had such a great community. Well, this place has not disappointed at all. I felt welcome right away! The members and staff are super chill and extremely encouraging.
I get there yesterday and am immediately greeted with people asking me how my ankle is doing. One person saw me doing exercises and said, "I believe in you," as he walked by me.
This kind of compassion is exactly what I needed yesterday. I'm back to being able to feel good about my progress rather than feeling down about the set backs.
