When customers rave to our staff about the setting in the gym, really the credit goes to the amazing team of setters that work behind the scenes to keep the problems and routes fresh and spicy! Our setters are true artists. They apply their vision and imagination to an area of wall and a bunch of holds to create their desired climber experience. This is Brendan, one of our talented setters. In this pic he’s dialing in a V8+ that he set for the Halloween comp. His orange 5.12b next to the rappel ledge is probably the most “popular” route set so far in the gym. The days are getting colder now and more than any other time, we need to warm up especially well before we even think about pulling hard on the wall. The more you warm up, the better you’ll be prepared for your climbing session. Like a house, the structure is only as strong as its foundation. The foundation and success of your climbing is built upon a thorough warm up. Warm up well and climb longer and stronger!

Pinch training, feeling less of a weakness, can nearly do a set of five on five off. Also try this exercise I love it, two pull ups then a dead hang for five seconds on your desired hold then repeat for the other arm rest one minute then do as many sets as you can. Little ab burnout workout as well as I’ve been neglecting my core, try three sets of touch the bar with whatever rep range you can do then do the burnout exercise I’ve posted on the last clip on your last set. Killer 🤙
